Why do people feel the need to catch sharks? Basking sharks may look threatening and be the longest of sharks (whale shark is largest, not as long), but it's just a filter feeder. Great whites and bull sharks pose a threat to us, but only because people are dumb enough to go in the water with them. We deserve it for being dickheads and entering the territory of highly territorial animals.
