i thought about trying out for lacrosse and I'm 14 and I've never played before because some people said I was really fast and I was pretty good at catching the ball when we played lacrosse out our school but looking at these hits it looks hard core I don't know can someone tell me if I'm like to late to start this type of sport or something because I don't know exactly what I'm getting myself into :/

Also as i can see that if i had a decent speed in my feets and with 1 year of practice i would problly be decent at this sport. something I think most people dont get : Boys lacrosse isn't any harder . Yes, it's a lot more rough so it may be a little more difficult . But girls Lacrosse takes a lot more skill .

this guy at school told me that lacrosse wasnt a real sport and that baseball was a real man's sport. so i had him put on pads and a helmet and i played him and kicked his ass 20 to 0 in 3 minutes. then i played baseball against him and his baseball friends, i had a few of my lacrosse friends and we won 12 to 4. Lacrosse takes a certain skill that no other sport has.

It's actually the origin of hockey, too. I play'd it growin' up, & when we went to the USA, I made a AAA Hockey team after my 2nd season, and Varsity Lacrosse as a Sophomore. I love all of these sports, but Hurling is the most skilled sport on the planet...and playin' it grants you these skills...

The game of lacrosse revolves around the ball, where the ball is-the game is. you score by getting the ball in the goal. the ball/game can move from one end of the field to the other in a matter of seconds = fastest game on two feet. paintball is about tagging players. its not about where the paintball is itself, its about getting players out all over the field simultaneoulsy. the players dont move that fast

I realise paintball is about hitting opposition with the ball, but there are multiple balls. you can have 8 players in an area of 15m sq, in an arena of 20m sq say. but the game follows all players-15m, you cant really say it revolves around one player and their paintballs. whereas in lacrosse, although players fill up a large space, the game ultimately revolves around the ball

Sure, you might run fast, but if you don't play close enough to the dorito or you're using a Tippmann 98 against a team of Luxes, you'll get wrecked. In lacrosse, even the mentally challenged kid with the AV8 can do well if he can run and pass.
