My pug sleeps on my bed and she snores all night long. I find it mesmerizing, almost. At first it was hard to get used to, but now I find that it makes me fall asleep! I would be thrilled to have a bunch of pugs to cuddle with! They totally R*O*C*K.

@GreenRad2012 After we had more than 2 Pugs they were exiled from our bed forever. We all (the dogs and us) sleep all the better for it. They are crate trained.

@405turk Dyson Animal ~ best vacuum cleaner ever! The entire canister gets filled weekly. In between vacuum sessions the floor can get a bit hairy even though we vacuum frequently.

@405turk I suppose the Dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't really control the actual shedding, but it does control the amount of hair that piles up on the floor :-O

@treetopteresa We changed their food, and now there are absolutely no gastric problems. Try it; it works.

@treetopteresa They're now on OM (overweight management) kibble by Purina Veterinary Diets (can only be purchased at the vet). It got their digestion back on track. Later, I tried gradually switching them to other kibble with no luck. So I'm keeping them on this food since they are very healthy and have no digestion problems (i.e. no gas problems).

How do you get them to ALL sleep on the pad. I have ONLY 2 of these most loving breed, and they BOTH have to sleep next to us or rather my husband....Therefore, my husband NOW sleeps in the family room on the futon snuggled with our babies. My Female is old and has a hard time getting around, so we go down and to her level!

@ohcarolz Once we had more than 2 Pugs they were forever banished from our bed (to make things cozier we have only a full size mattress). Just like with human babies/children the trick to getting them to doing what you want is being incredibly consistent ~ no exceptions! They are all crate trained, and they eat and sleep (at night) in their individual crates. They run right in them!

@badashjoker97 Yes, it is a problem with short nosed breeds in general. Some are worse than others. Out of our 6, only one had really bad breathing problems, and he actually had to have corrective surgery. After seeing him suffer I now believe the official Pug standard should allow for a slightly longer nose.

@flygrl67 BTW, for many years I had all of the above, but now I'm lacking a little (for 6 dogs) on the latter 2 factors. I'm committed to them for their life though, so they are well taken care of despite it not being easy. When these ones pass on I will be happy with 2 dogs max.

We lost our Pug on the 28th of October this year. He was exactly 7 years and 6 months old. He was in hospital having surgery and chemotherapy for lymphoma but he had a heart attack and died. We miss him so much but we don't know if we'll ever have another Pug.
