I was on vacation in New York city last year and ran into CM Punk in a hotel lobby, me and my seven year old brother approached him and he yelled get the fuck out my face! and said we were welfare babies as we walked away. He's a real loser!
I love both MMA and Pro Wrestling. I would say that arguing against either one is pointless, because They each have a solid fan base, they are doing something right. I think its wasted effort in calling out their flaws to make the other look superior. they are similar in many ways but they are two different things. you don't hear about die hard football fans calliing out draw backs in baseball... Now I think different things within each brand is something far more interesting to debate.
I like UFC and WWE. They both take hard work. WWE can open the door for other careers like being in movies and tv shows though. UFC is for fighters who really just wanna fight. WWE is about 60% real 40% fake or staged. Matches and are staged. Most feuds start off being real then WWE writers can put it in the script, much like the John Cena v The Rock feud. Punches and moves that can injure you are done with caution, but slams are real. UFC is just fighting. WWE is Entertainment/UFC is Fighting
@DJKenKenSwag LOL and 90% of these comments are from 12 year old wwe fans who are uneducated about this, UFC is not 'just fighting', a street fight would be 'just fighting', thats mma retard, theres alot more in it than throwing kicks and punches, and wwe is not fighting at all, slams arent fighting, wwe is entertainment, its not real, neither is santa claus mate, wwe is more like dancing or a play, gosh.
@Nordfelt no i just know that anything that is that valueable is predetermind. like politics, anything that powerful and valueable is a work. you dont think pro sports are rigged? you don't think multi billion dollar industries like the NFL have referees who alter outcomes?
@youngbuck189 mark? that's not even an insult, kid. anybody who talks about wrestling on the internet, watches RAW, PPV's whatever...is a mark. X-Pac, someone who actually contributed something to this business, said it best.
So go ahead and get butthurt, you're mark, I'm a mark...hell, maybe your mom is even a mark.
@youngbuck189 UFC really isnt a work. Brock was their biggest PPV draw by a LARGE margin so if it was a work he would still be on top and bringing them in huge ppv numbers not getting his ass kicked two times in a row and retiring early
@youngbuck189 He quit on rough life on the road. Gaining an addiction to pain medications, his personal life slowly going down the toilet. Anyone with an ounce of brains would have done the same... and what does that have anything to do with UFC being a work? Its not a work sorry to disappoint you
@AmericanNohbuddy Chael cuts promos that way because he's trying to be unique and marketeable. He's trying to get himself noticed. That's why guys like Mayhem Miller die their hair. They have names like Iceman, Sugar Rashad, Rampage, Bones Jones, The Natural, etc. so that fans remember them & are more inclined to want to spend money on them. You remember Chael because of his goofy promos. That means they're doing EXACTLY what he wanted them to. Keeping him in your mind.
@tdylan Chael's antics have nothing to do with the UFC. I think it's a way of Chael being able to market himself rather then the UFC telling Chael what to do, if that's what you're implying.
@AmericanNohbuddy Saying the UFC is just like pro wrestling because of that is like saying basketball is just like football because they give post game interviews with the stars, hype match ups, and the athletes get paid to endorse merchandise.
@AmericanNohbuddy Yeah, that's a better example. The thing about Chael being Chael, and Rampage insisting on being called Rampage, and Tank Abbott being called Tank, is to identify them. U can watch a great fight & say "man! u should have seen this guy knock out this other guy!" cuz the names don't stay w you. But u hear Joe say "Rampage with a huge right hand," & u remember the name. So next time ur out somewhere and u see Rampage promoting wheaties u think "oh yeah! Rampage! I'll buy these."
@Thiagosilva2487 I've competed in 13 MMA matches, and I can assure you that UFC is staged. It's not pure competition, it's not like a local MMA match. Fuck off queer.
@youngbuck189 im sure you have big man im sure you have. the imagination is a wonderfull wonderfull place 2 live in.. 2 bad they dont tell you just cuz you dreamt it doesnt make it true. mr wanna be alpha scrub
@youngbuck189 what do you mean ufc is staged? i always thought they purposely guided some fighters careers e.g giving them fights they know they'll win but what do you mean by staged? and how do you know?
@TheWwf4ever of course he wouldn't, Punk is trained to wrestle and entertain, UFC fighters train to fight! Punk has the background qualifications however so he could have been a decent fighter if he started training for UFC/MMA 10 years ago.
what happened the ufc blew past the wwe on ppv. while vince was bragging about destroying the wcw - dana white walked right past him... took his ecw fan base with him and with brock lesnar brought allot more fans of wrestling too!
undertaker probably and this is just my views can kick the fuck out of any ufc/mma fighter including brock lesnar and chuck lidell. cm punk is probably the closet thing to ken shamrock or dan severn so he also can fuck up those guys as well. member that's just my take on thing and i respect dana white and ufc/mma fans so don't knock me for having an opinion we all do.
@SVSR2011 i respect your opinion but uh ya no totally wrong first off taker would have to have years of martial arts training to begin with im talking Boxing/Karate/MuayThai etc as far as i know all he knows is JiuJitsu and he isn't a black belt correct me if im wrong he may do some boxing but im sure not at a pro level and to add on that the guy is almost 50 maybe back in the 90's if he trained he could but not now his age and lack of fighting background he would be ko'd in 2 seconds.
@FamiliaSoldier82 he's been fighting for over 20 years its a safe bet that hells gate he learned from watching ufc/mma matches for someone trained him secretly.
@SVSR2011 to add on to that taker would be in the HW division chuck is 205 light heavyweight so a fight between those 2 assuming taker had the background and age on his side is moot because it would never happen heavyweights fight heavyweights light heavyweights fight light heavyweights and so forth and so forth.
Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn would both still beat the shit out of CM Punk, despite their age. And Brock Lesnar and Chuck Liddell? They would butcher him.
I would be rooting for the Undertaker, for sure. But, it just isn't likely.
@SVSR2011 well i think your points are.......... wait, ohh whats that stench? can you smell it? i think i smell bullshit!!!!! ( undertaker probably and this is just my views can kick the fuck out of any ufc/mma fighter including brock lesnar and chuck lidell ) BOLLOCKS
