What a wonderful piece of music. Very haunting at times but beautiful. I was lucky enough to hear the organ playing while I was at Notre Dame, an experience I will never forget.
Very cool place. Didn't hear the organ either, but saw the inside. Right on the river, so neat. I have great pictureso f this during the day. It was warm and clear.
@oakberry61woohalol Unfortunately it seems to be a common practice these days: isolation of the common public from church organs. Some 10 years ago you could enter into Berliner Dom Cathedral at Unter den Linden to enjoy beautiful organ music. It's passe now: church authorities couldn't care less on public. Verboten! Basta!
I can't help but feel that the organ is dropping out at places, it sounds like less air is moving through the pipes than normal and changing the pitch of a pipe. It's very subtle, does anyone else get this feeling?
Wow. Amazing. What a genius Vierne is. Cochereau is also amazing because when I listen to this video, I am thinking about Vierne, not Cochereau. Thank you sooooo much for this video!
It is very beautiful. You have to go to the mass (service) on Sunday and hear it played, Its beautiful!

I went into notre dame while i was in paris. but unfortunately the organ was silent. You should see the one in sacre coeur it is huge.

It's pretty large, but never played except at certain masses, due to the church authorities' prohibition of giving recitals/concerts on it.
