Well, Iloilo is not yet international yet it is capable in handling more flights and the international airport. We've suffered enough with our small airport, so do we need to expand. It has been delayed eversince then.
Thanks for posting this video im from UK married to Phil lady, our house is somewhere down there in Santa Cruz/San Miguel but hard to work out excatly where from above. I have not had the pleasure of landing at the new airport yet but I heard its very nice airport I saw it being built on my last visit to Phils. Im still wondering when international flights will start landing here.
The local government has been lobbying to create international flights here but so far, Kalibo got the title as the first international airport (even though it is still a trunkline airport as per CAAP [formerly ATO]).
Kalibo is the first? when? i know Asian Spirit were chartering a MagDog to and from Korea but i dnt think it would last for a while. Now that PAL express has flights to Caticlan, that chartered flight will be doomed soon lol.
ngaa galibot pa ni pakadto sa dagat near guimaras? when i went home parang di naman ganyan ang route?

The total length of the new runway is 2.5kms. Enough to pass the ICAO standard. The old airport is just about 2kms long.
