  • Hi there .... fab that you made this video about grooming. Unfortunately, I've never been able to get Dunkie to lie down during the blow dry comb-out process. He prefers to sit so that I can't dry/comb his rear end. And thanks for the tip about combing out before the bath. I've never really done that.

  • How often do you give your TTs baths? They look amazing!

  • Glad to see he doesn't like the mats combed out. I was beginning to think he wasn't alive..(JK) Still...a very agreeable dog <3

  • What a good boy he is!

My 1yr old Teddy, is just like him.

Will lie still for me but no-one else (I am Alpha Mum!! Take no-nonsense from him - although mats are another story!;)

Have to lie him on the floor with one leg over his top half though!

Had 3 Samoyeds, thought I knew it all about grooming - Then I got a TT!

Tempted to clip hiim! Dreadful English Winter means every time we take him out we have to hose him off or bath him!

Can you get welly boots and macs for TTs? ;)

  • dear misdobie. i am afraid you are mistaken (not to mention horribly rude). Angus has never been shown in CA and has only been in the ring a few times after he became a champ at 9 months. Plus he is a HELL of a lot of fun!! See our video of Angus and his sister romping. Get your facts straight before you open your pie hole!!! :)

  • @DeepAcresFarm I agree. I have a question what hand technique do you use when washing their hair with dog shampoo to avoid matting? Your tib is so beautiful my tib is nearly two years old but so naughty lol

  • I have seen this dog with his handler. Has the very same temperament in the ring. Flat as a pancake. Seems to be a big issue in CA. Nice to have dogs come in the ring that look like they are having fun in the ring.

  • I hope you are kidding! We just have very laid back dogs (most of the time). Plus we began brushing our dogs from a very early age so they are very relaxed about it. Would never sedate our dogs. Hypnotist! Now that WOULD come in handy.

  • @DeepAcresFarm OK, I'm much relieved to hear it and also VERY impressed! Honestly though, I was worried sick The dog is very beautiful and its behaviour is a credit to you, therefore please accept my apologies. I really love dogs!

  • Come on, own up! You MUST have sedated this dog! Did you have a vet in attendance? Maybe you're a hypnotist?

  • that is an extremely good Tibetan terrier, dear God how I'd like to be you mine is a naughty minx

  • Thats all very well on how to groom, but, how do you stop the fighting when they dont want to be brushed?. We have to put ours on the ironing board to keep her still, and it takes two of us because she struggles all the time. !

  • @Gracefuldecor The trick is to start grooming your TT as a pup before they even need to be groomed so that they get used to it (and may even enjoy it) from a very early age.

  • I've posted some grooming tips on my blog. Hope this helps.

  • Thanks, we started her early, followed all the tips from the breeder, got a book about it as well, but she still hates it.

  • She's an independent girl! Gotta admire that! Did you sign up as a follower on my blog? I need some more TTs on there!!
