There were also traces of "yellow cake" uranium which is used in the making of nuclear weapons. It was a comlpetly different mission. That is to liberate Kuwait. Also it was known that Iraq was harboring terrorists so in an act of national sec. interests we invaded. Once the country is stable and free it will have been worth it. Not even the US became free on its own

There are all sorts of stories that Germans, Frenchmen, Swedes, and tons of other SOF fought secretly in Iraq. Who knows? I don't think the Iraqis ever had the FN FAL, though.
