The niqab is NOT a required part of Islam. I am a practicing Muslim - I don't understand why these women force something that is not a mandated part of our religion in a secular country. I'm personally not sure it's a good idea to ban the burqa, but I find the argument provided by some of the people on this video that the ban will "socially exclude" these women completely absurd. They are ALREADY excluded, they've excluded themselves. The question here is to argue wether the state is violating the personal choice one must have when it comes to deciding what to wear.

it's pretty scary. all face coverings should be banned. a guy in a balaclava on a moped nearly attacked me yesterday. it was because, I think, he was 'anonymous'. It's not even cold. You see lots of people doing it now, covering their face. Whatever the 'reason' - it's not right.

I think France is right to do it! For example,french woman that comes to Saudi Arabia is oblidged to wear black long dressings! The same should be in Europe-if you come to a European country dress like europens do.And if you don't like it go home ;-)

You missed the point of it.I've been living in one of the most beautiful town called Szeged and I'm proud of it.There is a lot students came from far east and and all of them studying hard to get through each university's exam.I really dig it 'cause they're pay a huge amount bucks for it.But,there is the other side,muslims who doesn't care even a f**k to be assimilate our society.They've been living on a dole so I have to say them piss off and go back where you came from...
