  • lol its funny everytime i watch a vid of some rx7 having issues it seems that ive had the same issues with mine .... ahh ok so basically the back fire is carbon buid up fuel that isnt burning off properly as for you idle my issue was sensor issues my air fuel sensor was done for to correct this issue is a little pricey i fixed mine by completly replacing my fuel managment system also a good idea would be to upgrade your pump it self too.... p.s. lol high pressure lines are gods for these things

  • Why get a piston? They may last longer IF YOU DONT RUN THEM HARD, its based on odds really... what are the chances that one out of 30 or so moving parts in a piston engine go bad? now what about an engine with 3 moving parts? Less energy wasted to make the crank turn.... 3 crank revolutions per ONE rotor revolution.. i think ive said enough. I will deal with wasted oil and when a seal blows? ill just rebuild it on my kitchen table in less than 2 hours..

  • The rotary has proven MUCH more fragile than the piston engine, so another rotard with misinformation.

    The engine wastes oil from the factory, a blown anything in the rotary just makes things worse. Even though the rotary has far fewer parts than a piston engine, it goes wrong much more as its lack of reliability is inherent in its design rather than the number or parts. This is something you rotards can't comprehend apparently.

  • Stop trying to use big words bro, its simple. There are more parts to a piston engine, therefor it is more likely for something to malfunction. You cant fight logic i dont care how smart you think you are. The truth is the reason the seals on the rotary are designed the way they are is because if the engine was perfect, there wouldnt be much of a service industry for mazda. as goes with all cars, that are designed to fall apart... so to speak.

    Horsepower is the product of revolution plus torque... So technically the higher rev motor makes more HP. Got it?

  • Yes, I know the formula, and that would be the case except you generalize to failure.

    Since most lower revving engines are usually larger, they produce more torque thus having more h.p. at a lower RPM.

    For instance my 5.7L makes more torque at 1500 RPM than the 13B makes at its peak.

    F1 engines rev 3 times what a standard street or drag race engine does but do NOT necessarily make more horsepower.

    Why did you bring up horsepower, we are talking about reliability. You rotards have ADD.

NA 20B in the 8s..good luck..You can keep your POS that eats oil and needs rebuilt. I will go with a more reliable engine that I can easily get the h.p. out of and it doesn't leave me stranded or out of cash.

    also old gas can be bad

    it dose not sound like an apex seal thay tend to sound more like a miss om a piston engine
