lol its funny everytime i watch a vid of some rx7 having issues it seems that ive had the same issues with mine .... ahh ok so basically the back fire is carbon buid up fuel that isnt burning off properly as for you idle my issue was sensor issues my air fuel sensor was done for to correct this issue is a little pricey i fixed mine by completly replacing my fuel managment system also a good idea would be to upgrade your pump it self too.... p.s. lol high pressure lines are gods for these things
aji8, do you really have no life? your on every rotary video talking smack. if you dont like rotarys then piss off. you never really give any good reason as to why they suck either. give me 3 GOOD reasons rotarys suck. and dont say "there unreliable", any engine can be unreliable if its built wrong.
Why get a piston? They may last longer IF YOU DONT RUN THEM HARD, its based on odds really... what are the chances that one out of 30 or so moving parts in a piston engine go bad? now what about an engine with 3 moving parts? Less energy wasted to make the crank turn.... 3 crank revolutions per ONE rotor revolution.. i think ive said enough. I will deal with wasted oil and when a seal blows? ill just rebuild it on my kitchen table in less than 2 hours..
The rotary has proven MUCH more fragile than the piston engine, so another rotard with misinformation.
The engine wastes oil from the factory, a blown anything in the rotary just makes things worse. Even though the rotary has far fewer parts than a piston engine, it goes wrong much more as its lack of reliability is inherent in its design rather than the number or parts. This is something you rotards can't comprehend apparently.
Stop trying to use big words bro, its simple. There are more parts to a piston engine, therefor it is more likely for something to malfunction. You cant fight logic i dont care how smart you think you are. The truth is the reason the seals on the rotary are designed the way they are is because if the engine was perfect, there wouldnt be much of a service industry for mazda. as goes with all cars, that are designed to fall apart... so to speak.
Wrong! Proof of that would be to say an OHC engine would be more prone to failure v.s. an OHV engine since it has more parts. Your logic is flawed and completely incorrect. Sorry if big words scare you. I guess my education is superior to yours which would explain you flawed thinking.
generalize to failure? Dude you are an idiot. Horsepower is relevant because i was giving you one reason why i put up with oil abuse and 60k rebuilds... F1 engines revs 3 times higher than standard street or drag cars? IDIOT, god damn dude, 1. There isnt a standard drag or street car, dumbass. 2. If we were to say that number was 8, F1's DO NOT rev to 24k. 3. If i wanted a rotary with more torque, id drop the 13b and get a triple rotor NA 20b.. now we talkin low 8's in a quarter..
Well next time say what you mean. and most V8 engines even a lot of drag only rev to 6K. I know my math moron. Show me some street V8s that normally rev to 8K. NA 20B in the 8s..good luck..You can keep your POS that eats oil and needs rebuilt. I will go with a more reliable engine that I can easily get the h.p. out of and it doesn't leave me stranded or out of cash.
lol and BTW, if im a rotard., then you can be a redneck trailor trash sister fuckin Dale Earnheart wanabe son of a bitch who doesnt wana accept the fact that technology is superior. and the design of the rotary is second to none. Drag strip or around corners. But dont take my word for it.. do some research you John McCain lovin honkey tonk faggot -
Well you are 100% wrong and you don't even know. Nice that you can't argue without name calling. Are you in 5th grade now?
Rotary around corners. You make is sound like the chassis doesn't have any effect on this and the engine makes the total car. Boy you are really stupid. Typical rotard can't get anything right.
with every comment you post you have previously been put in your place so you wonder on to a different subject. now you wana talk about corners? Do us all a favor and jump off an overpass. Im done arguing with you kid, you obviously dont know what you are talking about. now go argue with someone else because i made my point and im not responding to your spam any longer -
LOL..if you think you put anybody in their place with name calling you are more stupid than I originally thought. The only thing you did was prove more of what I say about you idiots. You will continue to reply as you can't help your idiotic self. I look foward to your response.
aji8, you really have no life do you? Almost every video I watched in the last hour you commented and tried to start arguments. Just to let you know no one thinks your smart, or cool, or anything to even shit on. People who read this, don't try to argue with him, he has no life and will go all night.
hay i have an rx7 series 8 type RB and its doing the same thing and my car has been off the road for 3 months no one knows what the problem is can you please help me
Ok so you're sayin' that I'll pay someone around 2,000 $ to open my motor, just to see if it's the problem? Nice! The car runs fine except the bouncing idle. I'll try everything before screaming Rebuild. Thanks anyway!
Thats hilarious!lls

Do you know the formula?
Horsepower is the product of revolution plus torque... So technically the higher rev motor makes more HP. Got it?
spyderhex 2 years ago
Yes, I know the formula, and that would be the case except you generalize to failure.
Since most lower revving engines are usually larger, they produce more torque thus having more h.p. at a lower RPM.
For instance my 5.7L makes more torque at 1500 RPM than the 13B makes at its peak.
F1 engines rev 3 times what a standard street or drag race engine does but do NOT necessarily make more horsepower.
Why did you bring up horsepower, we are talking about reliability. You rotards have ADD.
