i live in macon. When the tornado one of my best friend's text me and told me it hit my other bffs house. i didn't know what happened to her untill the next day. it was the worst feeling ever. It's good to know that when the worst thing you could imagine happens your neighbors are there for you, even if they live on the other side of town. I love wher i live.
1 year ago today...wow it doesnt seem like it has been that long. We have pulled together and we're a stronger small town now .. Candle Light Vigil tonight at the courthouse 5pm. We will make it because we are Macon
i live on 141(green grove rd.) less than a mile from columbia gulf. i was outside when the lightning struck, it lit up the entire sky and raised the temperature about 15 degrees. it was a terrifying experience when you know friends and family are even closer to the plant than you are.
Hello to everyone in macon county and all the damaged areas,we feel for all you guys we live in Lenoir city tn and we went through the same thing back in Feb of 1993 so we all feel and hurt for you guys and the video is a good thing to let everyone know, you dont need to take life for granted, appreciate everything and everyone around you because you never know GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
i lived about 10miles away from where it hit on cold springs road. scared me becouse we thought our field was on fire, later i found out it was in green grove
this is the first time that I have watched this since it was posted and I cried just as hard today as I did the first time I watched it we are rebuilding...but it's going to take so long to get the communities back to normal but we can do it...We are Macon
im also from lafayette and i dont see anything wrong with it, its just showing what happened and its lettin people see what we went through, i wanna say thanks to all those who helped in the clean up God bless you all
hi i am from cookeville tn and on the putnamc co rescue squad and i was there on that day searching for victims and survivors. and i broke down when i got to the area hit the worst. cause i knew there were people out there and i had to help with all the power in me. and i want yall to know that this video is awesome and that i think about yall everyday cause i have been in this business for 8 yrs and have never seen this type of a tragic event. God bless yall and once again great video.
i live in lafayette and i didnt have any family members killed but i dont think this is disrespectful. If you dont want to watch it dont watch it. It is good for the people who arent from around here to see what we went through....nice video
I am from Sumner County, Castalian Springs to be exact, where this tornado started. I do not find this disrespectful either. I was just through Lafayette last week and cried driving across Hwy 52. There are a lot of people who have families that aren't here in TN that want to see what we went through.
You did a beautiful job with the slide show and the music.
With all due respect . . . . who was I ask? I was simply delivering supplies to help out the victims of the storm . . . and I took several pictures along the way. I then put them in a video to remind people that no matter what - our God is able to hear our prayers and heal the broken pieces of our lives.
I hope you understand my motive in this video clip . . .
However, if it truly offends you that I have posted these pictures - I will remove it. Please let me know.
You should ask to put videos of peoples property in your videos as you put my moms house on there and we had people killed there. I think you should remove this video at once. That is a pianful reminder of our loved one, thanks a lot. I would rather remember our loved one as he was not as a tragedy.
