This is a good version, but the vocal weight of the vocalists in this song is way too strong, since Zero Gravity is supposed to be an inherently lightweight song, with a light-voiced vocalist singing it, that being mainly David, which is why the song works for him a lot better.

The song by itself is awesome, that goes without saying, by that I mean the melody and rythym.

As for who sings it, my opinion is this cover is better. Right, DA's voice is softer, but there are some points in his version where he could have put just a little variation on tone, specifically "The world." Jackie Boyz do it a little better in my opinion, they have that nice smooth but still variant tone in just that little part. Of course, just my opinion.

Yes, David's version is frickin' amazing, and yes, I wish he'd release it as his own song, but shouldn't we be mega ecstatic that his song writing is so great that other singers want to use his work? Zero Gravity is just one of several songs that David wrote and recorded but was not chosen to be released by Jive in his debut album. From my understanding, he had recorded hundreds of songs and only 12 were chosen for the main album. However, because the song was so well received on tour by everyone, it will most likely be released on his next album. :)
