I haven't listened to we are scientist in a long while. In a way I'm glad my taste changed. Indie rock is the gateway drug of music, it starts you out and moves you on to bigger better things (nu-rave, dance punk, electro house, dance, etc.)

Ever since Tapper left they've become more and more ridiculous. I hate the way Keith dresses, and their music has too much going on, too many clashing sounds and an overabundant hipness. With Love and Squalor is their only good major album ...because it's so raw and simple, and isn't trying to be something it's not. I blame their lack of stateside touring. The UK has seriously robbed them of their creativity and chutzpah!

@blackkat4150 I was going to agree with you until that ridiculous last comment about the lack of Stateside touring; the UK gave them their first big break and support. What went wrong, as you say, is Tapper leaving. I would love them to get Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys) in to drum on their next album. When you have a drummer from Razorlight involved, then of course the music is going to go downhill!
