  • yes their early stuff was amazing compared to the onslaught of 'hymns' that they churned out later.

  • Thumbs up if you tried to sing like Ali when you was a kid...UB40!

  • Why don't I own this dvd?

  • this is a magnificent performance. the working class of britain had a voice in those days - be it reaggae music, ska, electronica or new wave. now we are demonised and charicatured on jeremy kyle's extreme right wing hate inducing mind control.

now is the time to fight back.

  • a happy little song about nuclear war

  • Fukushima!!!

  • You must have a hole in your soul if you can't just feel the raw talent here. Doing it live too without today's "trickery" and vox synth crap so many artists RELY on for money. Kudos UB40. You really did start a revolution. x

  • you know it hits me how young he was and what a powerfully unique voice, compared the cowell crap shoved down throats.

  • LOVE THIS SONG :D LOVE THIS BAND AND LOVE REGGAE

  • My biggest regret not paying £2.50 to watch them at Walsall Town Hall when they first started,

Skinheads and nf have a lot to answer for,

    Skins forever,

That's what racism did for ya in the 70's early 80's,

Turned out to be one of the gratest bands.

    GUTTED.

  • FUCKIN LOVE THIS TUNE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XXXXX

  • GO ALI, PURE GENIUS !

  • UB40 had a very strong political message through their music when they began, their music was powerfull all throughout but they changed from all that into the business-band that sang about a glass or bottle of red wine and stuff. While they did a very classy commercial ragga-pop-like act later on they were never as good, as when they just began, again, signing off really is a masterpiece while labour of love absolutely sucks compared to it. and part II does even more so.

  • @rayheyheyhey Totally agree mate. UB40 were my favourite band when growing up. This early stuff was them in their element and was raw and fresh with an amazing sound and powerful lyrics. They sold out on themselves by becoming too commercial. The Labour of Love albums are great in their own way and have some truly great sing along songs on them, but they also ruined the promise of what came before. Still one of the best bands I've ever seen live though. Musically brilliant.

  • My favourite Ub40 song.

  • love it, love it, love fuckin it!!!!

  • i found this song very eerie as a young boy and sometimes played it on 33, it sounded like hell on vinyl - especially that opening synth part.

  • i grew up on ub40 fantastic

  • drummer is tha man jah,ub40 always in my mind, when the proform?

  • Ali Campbell, what a talent,What a voice,a wee national treasure.

  • Best song ever apart from Dream A Lie

  • mr lead singer is so underated its not even funny...awesome reggae vocalist...

  • Love this one!

Gracias, tomtoms23 !!

  • I die quietly...

  • to me, UB40 are my era's beatles, no other band in the 80's bought people and culture together like UB, even today you can sit out, make a nice big one and listen to them all night long

  • Ali Campbell is one of the best vocalists of the last 30 years and one of the best lyricists of all time.

  • I am from brum you are shit not the UK IDIOT!!!

  • @doherty366 You are shit not the UK.

  • I AM american, and I will gladly strike up the band. This is good music.

  • Reggae, Pop, Rock, Ska...who cares ? They're all just labels invented by journalists anyway.

I'll take music over "musicology" any day.

For me this is good music. If you dont like it that doesnt make it bad.

    Live and let live...

  • real musicians

  • i will never see them again unless they get back together please ub40 luv RenieAnn n Gary xx

  • Great song... UB40 had some great songs when they first started out and this is certainly one of 'em.

  • UB40 more than 30 years!!

  • wonderful inspired lyrics

  • Thats about the stupidest comment I have ever read on Youtube. (message to smilebit299)

  • this tune takes me back to my childhood as my dad used to play alot of ub40, big tune!!!

  • If only this band would play this on the tour this year, the world would seem a better place !!,

  • You are probably American.

    That explains it all.
