Horace became an ass after she was freed....wish they would've kept him being nice, but toughen up a bit when it mattered not only when it came to myra.. he came to possessive and over bearing..
Why did the writers or the producers or whoever turn Myra into some plain jane Quaker once she stopped working for Hank? I guess marraige to Horace means looking your absolute worst. Lol - I mean even Dorothy dresses and presents herself a heck of a lot better than Myra does for cryin' out loud! It doesn't seem like something Myra would do anyways and is out of character. I believe Myra would have presented herself a lot better -while still being sensible about it.
At times Hank can be racist and annoying but here I liked him- he's the only one who can directly say about Dr. Mike's attitudes, which just gets her at times.... even during the episode on which she asked her out for a coffee at Grace's cafe.....
lol an online description of this episode said: "Only the town's love for the infinitely unlovable Hank can pull him from the brink of a deadly coma."
"what do you know about love michaela, you've never been with a man." Shows how shallow he is. That's the only kind of "love" he knows- the physical kind. it's sad.
Hank: the ultimate bad boy. He's so gorgeous that you have trouble remembering how ugly he can be. Plus, it's really obvious that he hates himself a LOT.
One thing Hank is good at is bring out the best out of people, Mike often needed Hank to push her to admit stuff. I like that about Hank and Mike's whatever they call it; friendship sort-of-relationship. He seemed to sort of liked her.
Myra feels kind of sad for Hank loving her, but not being able to properly show it. I feel sad for Hank too, he's lonely, but he's neurotic and can't show or even feel his own feelings in a healthy way. It's a depressing situation all around.
Hank is so freakishly cool, if he was in the lead role, this wouldn't have been a family sitcom, it'd be some action thriller for a man with heavy alcohol and drug problems in the prime time :)). I do enjoy this thought. :)))
@YaoiHuntressEarth Either this or give him some Angelina Jolie-type of girlfriend who's a spy and possibly working for FBI, while William Shockley is selling drugs and is some underworld mafia member. And then throw them in a relationship... I'd really, really, really enjoy this!
Oh yes he did. I think it was pretty obvious. He is the only one who always called her Michaela for day one. Everyone else called her Dr. Mike except for Dorothy and of course Sully after they fell in love!
I love this show... It's so comforting for me to watch it. The part where Dr. Quinn talks to Hank in the Saloon is one of my favorite scenes from this show. I always like the chemistry between those two..
@Xlg86 I was just thinking the same thing ! I love speech between those two, and chemistry they bring! Hank can be idiot sometime, he is kind of ''bad guy'', but still funny as hell and only one in the town, who actually always tell what he thinks, he is not a hypocrit like Jake, it's obvious that he lived hard life before, and yes- he know so much Mike don't.
I do *not* believe Sully was trying to knock the gun out of his hand. He doesn't miss what he's aiming at. He threw that thing right at Hank's head. I don't mind that he did; knocking Hank out was more efficient than knocking the gun away; I just think it's out of character for him not just to come out and say yeah, I hit you in the head.
exactly, he's a horrible, horrible man, but he usually ends up doing the right thing in the end...kind of. and somehow he's my favorite character on the show.
He's the most despicable, pompous, greedy and racist character in the show and yet in the most annoying way you can't help but love him. Makes you wonder about your sanity...
Not going to lie, I actually agree with some of the stuff that Hank says to Mike in the saloon.

Great scene with Dr Mike and Hank at 5:25. I do believe apart from her mother in the pilot epi, Hank was the first one in town to call her Michaela.

Why didn't Horace yank Myra back when she started walking toward Hank?
ginahowardgiannattas 8 months ago
@ginahowardgiannattas because Horace is a wimp. He's nice, but a wimp nonetheless.

Well, if Sully was only trying to knock the gun out of his hand and missed and hit him in the head, I'm glad he didn't have his tomahawks this time.
