  • nowadays Jobe is your average PC user

  • perfect audio sync

  • I don't care if it's close to stephen king original or not....this movie still fascinates me after 20m years.

  • i still dont understand ive seen the movie is it supposed to be a slasher

  • Trey Parker?

  • @HanzSygnal I was going to post that until I saw you already did

  • oh no mexicans

  • Looks like an interesting movie, but it's not the same as the short story about a lawnmower killing a cat and then a fatso lawnmower man using an older model lawnmower to cut the grass so he can eat it naked.

  • @codename617 And pan. Don't forget pan.

  • Hey this is better now then back in the day

  • Anonymous = Lawnmower man.

  • @Kai2oo6remix - most likely so - they're legion, they've got some matrix-link cause they picked that movie (also smith is legion, all the same person like fag checkyoursauces and its billions of channels is), and the only real reason they're against carbon taxes is so they can keep noise-polluting and raping the planet with their evil ahrimanic machinery.

  • *coming soon* - MAXIMUM OVEDRIVE ~ The VideoGame

thrill! as cars then all vehicles and then finally all machines turn against their makers, at long last the slave uprising begins

  • *booths

  • 'derpy doo, der lawnmower man he dun't know wot to do with evolved technology like der computer he only know klunky evil noise-polluting soul-raping gaia-abusing machindery',

fucking tard zombies messing up reality and plants, someone kill all those noise-polluting useless fucktards now.

  • @JustSomePerson888

That is a little harsh i do not see reason to talk in such a common way.

  • this has nothing to do with the lawnmower man book from the night shift book

  • @themanofdeath88 - no lol, that was about a bloke that came round and ATE THE GRASS INSTEAD - he'd be much better than those noise-polluitng fucking imbecile fucktards with the massive carbon footprints, plus he could help me kill them all with their own cunt tools.

  • This movie made me think about a few things.

Do you remember when games started in the arcade? When life simulation was not even remotely on the agenda? What the fuck happened?

Driving simulators, Shooting simulators, LIFE simulators LOL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lawnmower man becomes a reality one day.

  • @ExtremeBogom - there was a driving sim, Hard Drivin', not sure how many motorway service stations stocked that one though. 'honey? i'm going to go pretend to be driving down that road we just ran in here off of', 'ok but don't use up all the change cause we need it for tollboths'.

  • This has nothing to do with Stephen King's Lawnmower man tale.

  • @Sener I heartily agree. This absolutely SUCKS! And to think I was going to watch it just now on YouTube! Wow! :(

  • @Sener The story about the lawnmower...that was EVIL?!

  • Lapidus

  • Cybersex 1:18

  • This was a great movie! Good actors.

  • this movie scared the absolute crap outta me when i was 10. but i know where my love of sci-fi came from :)

  • I only watched this movie for Jenny Wright.

  • LAPIDUS!

  • Cyberwar!

  • The only thing this has in common with Stephen King's short story is the lawnmower.

  • @dhinge u got that right

  • XP They actually tried to make that great story that made reference to Greek God Pan into this I-Don't-Know-What?

  • What a pointless POA. King successfully sued to have his name removed from this crap fest. It ignores his short story and was nothing but a cheap attempt to cash in.

  • Really interesting.

  • similar experiences in my youth

  • at 0:42 i thought he was going to shove that thing up his ass

  • How'd they make a movie out of a short story that is 10 pages..

  • This had nothing to do with King's short story. And the portrayal of the mentally handicapped guy is pretty cringeworthy. Don't they know that you never go full retard?

  • Aside from the fact that this film poorly made, this movie relates to today's life. The internet (cyberspace) today provides so much information, it can alter people's minds. People can learn so much things online if they read the right, legit stuff online and it makes people smarter. Information is at the tip of everyone's hands by a click of a button.

  • @OrlyDudeGuy Actually, this movie isn't too bad.

  • I think ill pass on this one.

  • this film looks fucking ridiculous.

  • The significance of VR is out dated, they should really remake this movie with a greater focus in cyberspace and transcedalism through technology and with today's special effects it would be awesome

  • @toofar2real

The significance of VR is outdated? So...you want to go back in time to 1992 and tell them that? Don't judge a movie for it's time period. Did you know black and white movies are outdated? But why was "The Man Who Wasn't There" black in white, when it is less than 12 years old?

  • this movie is fucking with my mind

  • Even if the movie sucks, The Prodigy did a great use of samples from it.

  • LAPIDUS!!

  • I'm pissed....alll that time and the dude wasnt half lawnmower and half man lol

  • how is this like rooting a motorola droid?

  • 00:24 CHESTER MOLESTOR!! #LOL

  • like if you looked this up from tosh.0

  • movies were so great back then, now it's all about sex, cleavage, and asses.

  • what's this movie about? is this a revenge movie or something? i know virtual reality is the backdrop, but isn't job out for revenge against those who wronged him?

  • @angusbonscott In a word? Frankenstein.

  • @angusbonscott

Yes, Jobe wants revenge against ppl who make fun of him and pick on him. He also gets even with the mean guy living with his friends...a woman and her son, Peter.

  • Must be one of my favorite sci-fi movies ever! Just watched it once again, few minutes ago, and simply loved every second of it!

  • Evil clowns R a collective: The same spirit that likes 2 contradict('you') me when ('you') I'm right (In me that's most of the time) is the same spirit that contradict god: From unconscious 2 superconcious

  • looks interesting! but i think i need to read the book instead

  • monticello

  • 1990s were the years when people had 'cyber sex'

  • EVERYONE HATES this movie - BUT... I LIKED IT... IF.. IF.. you ever DO see this movie you MUST see the Directors Cut... the movie is full length (about 20 minutes to 30 minutes LONGER) and has much more interesting character development and it fleshes out Peirce Brosnan's relationship with the next door neighbor's wife who gets abused by her husband. This really IS A GOOD MOVIE if you see the DIRECTORS CUT. SADLY... I have NEVER seen a DVD or Bluray directors cut in sight. Only on VHS!! [gag]

  • @mrjustin5 i have the dvd i don't know what you're talking about.

  • @mrjustin5 Yeah I bought this flick on DVD and was pissed to find that the directors cut scenes were put in as special features deleted scenes. Not to mention the fact that the filmmakers never intended to adapt the Steven King short story. That was thrust upon them by Robert Shay. This movie has more in common with the old film "Flowers for Algernon" than anything by Stephen King.

  • man,me and my dad rent this movie thinking that was something about...we didn't know nothing about the movie, but we love it

  • the uniform reminds me of TRON

  • When the sun beats down and I lie on the bench, I can always hear them talk. Me, I'm just a lawnmower. You can tell me by the way I walk...

  • beginning of 90's and VR madness....technology that died out itself..it will happen to "3D" that is now the state of the art.

  • @psychonaut25

3D is cool for like 5 minutes but then those glasses get irritating.

  • Okay I figured it out he sued the production cause it was from one of his stories called the lawnmower man but it was a totaly different story only one part in this movie was from his story the rest was just made up so he felt it wasn't his story sense they didn't follow it except one part he sued the productions for using his name just so they could draw in more viewers to watch the movie, people who are big fans of Stephen King

  • I know their was something about this movie that Stephen King didn't like and pressed charges on the producers, I can't remember I think he didn't want the movie to say it was from him because the producers took a story that he wrote and turned it into a totaly different story even changed the title, so he felt he didn't have anything to do with it sense it didn't relate to his story so he pressed charges to have his name removed and for 10 mill dollars... I don't know does anyone know more

  • wth? i didnt know trey parker was in this

  • STAY AWAY from part two. It was so bad they re-released it under a different title: Jobe's War. The original subtitle was Inside Cyberspace, or something like that.

  • @compsciguy Unfortunately I think a lot of us have seen the 2nd movie. I cannot believe they cheated us for believing the 2nd movie was just as great as the 1st. Fahey was simply beyond brilliant, whereas frewer was only great in max headroom.

  • weird... the bike thing he's riding at 0:32 and the game he's playing seem to remind me of Tron lol

  • Damn those graphics look like shit now.

  • It's hilarious that it has nothing to do plotwise with Stephen King's Lawnmower Man short story...Only thing the same is the title and Stephen King's name. Shameless name promotion.

  • It's the pilot dude from Lost!

  • VR. if only its like that. but need to make that in the future. 2200

  • Never go full retard.

  • I believe the science fiction was far better than the animation. Awsome, mind opening stuff.

  • @dubZZish yes :) You gotta love this movie

  • funny

  • I like the alternate ending, where he changes his name to Frank Lapidus and becomes a pilot :)

  • I would pwn him at that gameXP

  • "That was really bad."

  • @GeneralGrin mm hmm... avitar sucked any way. no big loss there

  • Sweet whens this coming out.

  • @vrossino46 its that a joke?

  • @vrossino46 Yes lol.

  • @vrossino46 lol

  • @vrossino46

It's an early 90's movie..it's been out for nearly 2 decades.

  • Are you kidding me? This has nothing to do with the short story. The lawnmower man was this naked farmer-like fat man who ate the grass. He controlled the lawn mower with his mind and had almost cloven feet. He ran over a man with his lawnmower because he was going to report him to the police. Where did all of this futuristic crap come from?

  • @NeptuneGoesKwa2

they wanted to cash in on Terminator 2's special effects.

  • Kinda like the matrix, cept after Keanu got the mental boosts he was still a tarded surfer

  • The best fantasy movie ever-big respact for the actors.and the film workers.big job..good job ..never forget film..im from israel

  • Stephen king actually sued the producers of this movie and won to get his name taken off the movie. The reason? Even though he wrote a short story called The Lawnmower Man, only one scene in the movie was based off the actual text.

  • @83phatman

KIng being greedy? Lois Duncan's novel I know what you did last summer

got turned into a gory slasher flick, and she didn't sue, to my knowledge.

  • @compsciguy >>>.......when did I say he was greedy?? I'm acknowledging that he sued to get his name taken off this movie since this trailer had his name on it. I agree with King, though. I read the original story. It has nothing to do with this movie, even the one short scene from the movie apparently based on the story has nothing to do with it. I'm glad King got money, because it's just bad marketing.....but I kinda liked this movie, although it's cheesy as everything nowadays.

  • I know why the liberal media went nuts over this movie now.

Retard = Harmless innocent lovable little fuzzball

Priest = retard beater hypocrit and total dickhead

Construction worker = Child beater and total dickhead.

Corporate facsists = animal abusers for weapons advancement

Biker = biased and mean to retards.

Scientist = misunderstood yet caring, reasonable, and sympathetic

It called propaganda fools. Steven King is a commie lovin prick.

  • @KingDingaLing090 Yep. Thanks for saving me the trouble of watching it.

  • @KingDingaLing090

Conspiracy theorize, much? Like Stephen King believes in the stuff that's portrayed in this movie. LOL!

  • hey i remember this!! OMFG gonna download it right now!! this was freaking cool back then!! all this computer virtual reality stuff back then!!

  • the special effects are way better the avatar!! how could u compare it to a 1992 film LMAO

  • suck is avatar,

    these are real special effects.

  • I freaking love that movie!!! All my friends think it's total crap, but what do you expect from 1992.

  • The actually story is creepy as hell. I was really looking forward to seeing a fat naked man eating the cut grass left behind from a lawnmower :(

  • @derekderkster

    He had green pubes. Remember?

  • I can't remember if there was 1...BUT a porn/spoof version would have been great - already had a great title :P

  • the sad thing is that this movie just abuses the name of Stephen King. The short story by him with the same name is something completely different, as far from this as possible.

  • @MandaOwl

Secret Windo abused the star power of Johnny Depp. lol

  • @MandaOwl the short story is absolutely terrifying

  • @lukeclews Well, it is Stephen King ;)

  • dude i played the game on super nentendo when i was a kid i had no idea it was a movie =D

  • wtf? I remember when this came out and its special effects were the hottest shit. And it was only one year before Jurassic Park.

  • @piskirakki

    Don't forget T2

  • Random Blonde Woman approves!!

  • In the flash-sideways, a young Frank Lapidus befriends a young James Bond and does some shit with crappy early 90s CGI.

  • Lapidus!

  • The special effects scare me.

  • This movie was very good, and it's remind me for similar things while my education.

  • lol didnt know the lawnmower man was frank lapidus in lost

  • @Frontboarder101 I didn't know Jeff Fahey was in Lost. One big surprise for both of us. To see the transformation in Jeff Fahey from film to film is extraordinairy to see. He is such a remarkable actor.

  • @tejo29se

    Fahey is in Planet Terror.

  • Is this a good movie to watch? It looks interesting, but kind of freaky, like most of Stephen King's novels.

  • @ToastmasterJFK It is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

  • OMG!! Damn it Lapidus is the man in BLACK!!! Nooooooooooooo!

  • ...and twenty years later, Jobe crashed his airliner on Hydra Island.

  • @BradTheProducer Ha ha! I didn't realize it was the same actor until his beard was gone in Season 5.

  • I remember when i was young this looked like the shit, now many years later i can't believe it looks so retarded.

  • jesus.. read the short story by king.. hell of a lot better than this.. about a fat guy who mows lawns naked, eats the grass, and sacrifices anyone who gets in his way.. if you know stephen king, you know that would have made for a hell of a lot better movie....

  • HA, its funny that this has nothing to do with stephen king's story

  • frank lapidus (lost) ow yeah!!!

  • wow that's just funny... (I just found a video of a game about it)

  • WTF, that wasn't in the short story

  • @ThisIsCanadaEh

thats why King sued them and had his name removed from the title

  • lol, no shit. I would too

  • Original....

  • This film is great, even with the cheesy computer animation its still a great film.

  • one of the greatest movies EVAR!

  • Lawnmower man is definently a prequel to the matrix movies.

Think about it. A quote from the movie "He absorbed Latin in just two hours" Keanu reeves absorbed kungfu quickly also.

And that baby machine face, the out burst it does when Neo makes it angry makes me think of the angry lawnmowerman.

And Virtual Reality, and the ending of the lawnmower man where he says somthing to the fact of everyone will be connected to me.

  • @Lastknownuser i like that

  • now thats what i call a film a classic stephen king flick.

  • great movie

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAA i cant stop LAUGHIng lol

    poor jack!

  • Lol, I haven't seen this movie & always thought it was a horror movie about a lawnmower guy who goes around chasing after people with a lawnmower & cutting them up with hedgeclippers or something. How wrong I was :D

  • same

  • one was the name of that computer mouse he used in the movie where he just held it in the air ?????

  • Love the fact Stephen King sued to have his name removed and won. Film has nothing to do with the short story. crap crap crap

  • "From the mind of Stephen King" is a joke. This movie has nothing to do with the Stephen King story except the title.

  • This movie was exactly what Sci-Fi needed at that time...For those of you who weren't around then, this movie's graphics were absolutely the pinnacle of what could be achieved through computers at that time. What you consider to be rudimentary graphics now, was completely state of the art at that time. The same will be said about what you consider to be modern graphics now in about 10-15 years. Trust me.

  • Oh yeah, totally.

  • Yeah. I'd love to see the scene again where he dissolves two agents into pixels. Classic.

  • yep.

in a few years people will laugh at the bad special effects of "Avatar"

  • i laughed at em DURING the movie...

  • @GeneralGrin >:P

  • @GeneralGrin Yea I doubt that lol.

  • @GeneralGrin yeah im 15 years old and im thinking is this a joke? :D

  • @GeneralGrin i laugh at it now

  • @GeneralGrin I think you're missing the fact that the special effects of this movie was bad for its time, In a few years people will still be praising how good the special effects of avatar were for its time (or so I'm told, haven't seen it)

  • Agree wholeheartedly. Those graphics were insane in the 90s when I was a kid. We thought it'd never get any better, but look now. We're so beyond that simple advancement.

  • @indyracingnut

Don't forget, Terminator 2 was around this time as well.

  • @indyracingnut Well... I'd agree if it wasn't for movies like Terminator 2, The Abyss (1 and 3 years before Lawnmower Man) And even stuff like the original Tron from 1982... If it was the pinnacle, it was a pinnacle that had been stuck for ten (82-92) years without moving forward one polygon.

I just saw it again and while I think it had some really interesting ideas. It flopped at the end pure pure silliness.

And where's my VR-Pack... It's 2010 already... "Eveyrone" would have them by now!

  • looks like it got caught somewhere between Tron and the Matrix

  • Anyone think David Cronenberg should have directed this? Looking at the trailer, seems like something he would have done.

  • HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH STEPHEN KING

  • lol dude looks like trey parker

  • what the hell? why are scenes from beyond the mind's eye in this?

  • i'd love to see stephen king write a childrens novel, lol

  • I thought it was a cool movie for its time, the VR was well done for 92.

  • Man, have they even READ the book?!? this have NOTHING to do with the story!!

  • WRONG. Red lawnmower on both. Checkmate

  • You never go full retard.

  • ROFL!!!!!!

    Clerks rocks.
