@oliviacnb the big one might be a problem cuz in richmond is an island between vancouver and langley sink the water would flood into burnaby vancouver surrey langley etc the best place to evacuate to seattle since it doesnt have an island like vancouver

i live in vancouver. Most people know that we are due for a massiv massive earthquake, and now we are overdue :s Luckily in 2009 and 2010 there has been many earthquakes all around the world. ( haiti, chile, ottowa) Those have loosened iur tectonic plates thus pushing the date back and it will be less massive. Regardless we are due for a big one and the city will be ruined. Luckily i live in a suburban town outside of vancouver on the top of a mountain so i'll be fine ;P

Everyone in B.C will be affected. 10 years ago there was an earthquake in seattle and here in coquitlam bc we felt it! So im not going to lie you will feel the tremors. They will not be here until the end of your life time. B.C is going to feel tremors. But vancouver island is really going to take the hit to be honest because we are on the coast which means tsunami.

@RBzorz Also you wont feel the waves. Just the tremors chances are your town will be a little rattled. But thats ok. B.C is a well built modern place. CHILE had a big earthquake with minimal damage. My advice DONT STRESS. this earthquake is going to take YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRSS­SSSS to reach us and scientists will be able to predict our earthquake. YOU WILL BE FINE:) just dont worry about it.

@oliviacnb i live in seattle and your teacher is in fact an idiot if hes telling you completely wrong "facts" about" earthquakes- perhaps your 14 so ill forgive you- i have studied earthquakes and seismology for 10 years though not in a professional manner and have many contacts at the PNW seismology center at the University of \Washington- one of the worlds top seismology and earthquake study and reasearch facilities! The Haiti and chilean earthquakes are not even on the same fault lines !

I have had a couple of dreams with earthquakes in Downtown Vancouver,Bc.

I have had 2 dreams with tsunami in them just in the last month and a half.
