That is bad for buisness. My mother has a cleaning service. And if anything breaks, or in this case burns. You don't try to hide it, you have to be honest and tell the client what happened.

I don't think the tape was necessarily the problem. The problem was that they were using an extension cord with a vacuum cleaner and they were putting stress on the connection. Tape or no tape, the arcing connection would have started a fire.

@mysynthesis It could have been caused by both, all I know is that paper tape is flammable (paper + adhesive).
