People forget or didn't even know that Al Jarreau was, is, an always will be a brilliantly gifted jazz vocalist. One of the best if not the best. I remember when he came out with this tune back in the day. I was blown away. I became an Al Jarreau fan right then. Elton wrote many a great song with Bernie Taupin, I'm sure they were both honored by Al's cover of this one. Al is so amazing with his interpretation of of popular songs. He communicates his genius best through these efforts.

I am deeply moved to *see* this video. I knew this performance only from my childhood. My parents had an audio tape from this gig. That time I didn't knew anything about Al Jarreau, but listening to this tape led me dive into another dimension where pure spirit exists. Each time I was unhappy or melancholy I heard this tape and it does wonderful things with my spirit.

I'm so happy to see this recording! I howl my head off for hours now.
