This boss isn't difficult...there is no feat to solo it. A monk can 2 shot him with max haste + attackboost spell/potion. And, please, there is already a great soundtrack with this boss, don't ruin the fight with that ff7 song.

@0ShadowJake0 a bit old, but thought i'd comment, I started a red mage solo on the ps1 version...so gay. The elf king boss has several instant death attacks with high accuracy. cant remember how many times i died from that, plus the cave before giants cave alone is hard enough to not die in lol.

The First time i beat Chaos was with A Knight, Master, Master, Red Wiz combo. Master's are insanely powerful. With Haste alone, my master was doing 1500+ damage. GO FISTS.

Not sure how many seconds because chaos's moves are flashy but its possible to do in 2 - 4 turns if u keep buffing master with other 3 chars, by using drinks, haste and forgot the other dmg buff.

I've fought him with my lv. 100 Knight, Ninja, Black Wiz. and White Wiz. yet in this video his HP was so much lower than the one I gotta fight, my Black Wiz. has to keep using his best attack like 8 times which causes 3000some damage!

So how the hell did only those few swings kill him, even with tunics and stuff the damage was only like two thousand.

I can't find the other wind temple that unlocks after the fiend was destroyed anybody know where it might be?

Um... Black Mages can't hit for 3000 damage with any attack unless you boost them for about 12 turns in a row with Saber, Haste, Temper, and Strength Tonic. It was probably 300 with Flare. Even if you boosted the Black Mage, that would be a complete waste, considering that a Knight or a Ninja could deal twice that amount easily.

Yes, Black mages doesn't have a good strength power... But "upgrade" him Saber, Haste, Temper and ST, any is powerful!!!

But, monk class is "animal" with this combination!!!

Try facing him down with a white mage and a black mage. His Wave Cannon (or whatever it's called) can kill you in two shots, and most of his other attacks can kill you in one shot, so you have to predict who's going to die next and plan ahead for it.

You can't use Haste with -anyone-. Only Knights, Red Mages, and White Mages can cast it. It can be cast ON anyone, though.

But I do agree that the new version is a bit too easy. Oh, well... At least Omega and Shinryu make up for it. (Yes, they're hidden bosses)
