  • Never heard of you before, glad I stumbled on this, thanks very much!

  • that was good.

  • I love it! Great playing.

  • I agree with death...death? Well any way he said.".One could only wish that half of the new 'popular' musicians out there in the black hole called pop-culture could have as good as sounding music." Wouldn't it be nice to hear more good guitar players like you. Nice song nice arrangement ! Why do young kids that only know 2 chords and scream into a mikes get all the exposure. See Jimmy...there really are people out here that know the difference..

  • Found your vids browing around for 7 string acoustic.

Glad I found you; great player man! Really delivering the real stuff. Will do more searches on your playing. Beautiful guitar too.

  • Damn. I got a nice Washburn 7 to write some new and different metal type music on it and I want to learn this chill jazz song sooooo bad. His skill is amazing.

  • Wonderful! Jimmy is on a very short list of guitarists that can play solo at this level. It's all there - tasteful improvised melody, chords, and bass. He is a truly dedicated and talented artist who deserves wider recognition.

  • I currently am studying jazz guitar, but this is outstanding. It's extremely well put together.

  • Happened into a Resturant/Bar in Covington, La. sign said Jazz Guitar and Sax no cover. Jimmy Foster and Ed Pederson from University of New orleans on Sax another guy (sorry no name given) Joined on guitar. Complete mastery by all if you think he's good on video you should see him live. I guess the best things in life are free. Thank You.

  • @kpriester LUCKY!

  • MONSTER GREAT MASTER

  • I have a hard time with just 6 strings much less 7! What a legend! Thanks for the post

  • Absolutely mesmerizing Jimmy. Great chops, great talent, and a great guitar. Boy you put it all together. Thanks so much for the posting. True mastery!

  • I'm not going to lie, it sounds very very sexy. One could only wish that half of the new 'popular' musicians out there in the black hole called pop-culture could have as good as sounding music. You sir are talented.

  • Dear sir. I hope that there are some youngsters that will take the Van Eps way of doing things and do what you have done, made it your own and use it to improvise their own melodies. The Jazz guitar is a little boring at the moment, there is too much bluffing! So nice to hear a genuine individual player like yourself.

  • Jimmy,

I absolutely enjoyed listening to your superb version of this tune! Your excellent playing skill is complimented by the gorgeous tone of the guitar. Top of the line my friend - it just doesn't get any better than this!

    Best regards,

    Greetings Marcelo

  • Great playing.....I really enjoyed it.

  • Man these guitars rule. Such good sounding instruments. May I ask what amp has been used?

  • I happen to know he went straight into the CAM'corder - with only a little digital reverb added before. Quite a testimate to the great sound of his guitars.. not to mention what wonderful playing this is. This is world class solo jazz guitar!
