There's truth to the racist ideas of Ms. Sanger, and my ancestors, the Catholic Irish immigrants, were one of the groups that most people would have liked to wipe out.

But that's okay. She did more good than not, and she's still my personal hero of all time!

As far as I'm concerned, that information made their lives worth living.

They weren't coerced into anything.

Margaret Sanger wasn't the only one with a negative attitude toward my group, the Irish Catholics. The middle class blacks left mid-town Manhattan in droves to get away from them because their wretched way of life had turned them basically into thugs.

How can you say that Ms. Sanger didn't do any good?

She was in favor of birth control, not abortion.

I don't think she meant to try to wipe us out, but she helped us procure the information we needed to become civilized. Having a whole slew of children that you can't provide for properly sure as hell ain't it.

I believe that limits is what she was striving for.

I, personally, for what it's worth, have never had even the slightest desire to reproduce my own image. Parenthood is not for everyone, any more than anything else is.

So, at least we concur on one point.

As an aside, they were one of the first groups to wise up and limit their families to 2 kids per family in order to survive.

Birth control is immoral and will always be. It creates a destructive mentality towards children, motherhood and marriage. It puts constrains on marriages and puts pre-conditions on the relationship. All we have to do is look at the divorce rates today and how much they have increased since abortion and BC was opened to the public.

The part of her autobiography where she gives a speech to the Klan is not.

And the quote is actually, "we do not want word to GET out that we want to exterminate the negro population." There is only one way to read that dude. She was a eugenecist. She believed that all other races should die a slow extintion through negative birth rate, and she even says so. She was a huge fan of forced sterilization of "human weeds" as she called all who she deemed geneticaly inferior.
