What to do when it snows and ice. Number one, call in to work. This one should be easy as people hate work anyway. Number two, lock your car up in the garage and don t move until weather is super clear. Number 3, make sure you cook some pop corn then look out the window and watch the entertainment.

Snow tires, chains, whatever you have, it won't help you brake more then a little bit. When you get over 20 mph in conditions like these you could have a 4 wheel drive off road vehicle with wide snow tires and you won't be able to stop yourself fast enough to avoid anything.
and this is why when it snows and is really icy, you just don't drive, stay home and enjoy the snow. don't sit there and try to drive... there is NOTHING so important that you can't just wait a few days to drive.

Snow tires, chains, whatever you have, it won't help you brake more then a little bit. When you get over 20 mph in conditions like these you could have a 4 wheel drive off road vehicle with wide snow tires and you won't be able to stop yourself fast enough to avoid anything.

Not all Americans are impatient, or assholes; not all of them barely squeaked by the driving test; not all 50 U.S. states have tests of comparable difficulty (though I couldn't say if any of them are as hard as those in, say, France). But we Americans have made enough of a name for ourselves abroad -- culturally as well as politically -- to inspire comments like luvda5o's, so we can't just write it off as total bullshit...

perhaps they are the ignorant ones for writing all of us off for idiots....talk about impatience. there are geniuses and idiots in every country, and every country has different driving conditions. even though these people didn't make the best choices, the dilemma they are facing is understandable: they can't just leave their cars in the middle of the road/may have places they MUST get to....when you are on ice even a little gas takes you FAR, but still they shouldn't have even tried....

not all american drivers suck lithuanian guido...these people live on the west coast where it rarely snows, so they don't have as good of instincts when driving in snow as people in ohio or some shit. it's also hilly/mountainous as fuck which doesn't help their cause. people in chicago know how to deal with snow but it's flat as shit. throwing slopes into the equation would fuck anyone up, but that first guy is still retarded.

Oh yeah... I remember that winter. Here is how the news cast went...
Week before;
"Expect snow, crews are ready!!" - No snow
That Wednesday of snowfall;
"Oh yeah, there might be snow flurries, no worries" - 8AM was bad. By 9AM all traffic has been shutdown.
BTW, it was an awesome snowfall. Lasted 2 days. :)

Lasted a lot longer than two days souht of Seattle. Wher eI am the temps just barely got above freezing and our streets were coated with ice for about a week. I do remember this video though. Either these people had a seriously deluded sense of invincibility, or worked 'Come in our you're fired!' jobs.
