This video is old and you might have realized this by now, but C# is a tool that Microsoft developed for the .Net platform. Unless you want to work in that platform you shouldn't learn C#. Android development as far as I am aware is all implemented in Java because Google's SDK enforces this upon you. Much like iOS app development is in objC because this language was developed at Job's NeXT and he brought to Apple.... Think what platform you want to develop for and pick your language from there

The thing that C#, objC and Java have in common is they are based on C syntax. If you want to learn a multi-use language solve to general problems I'd start with Python. It's a very easy language to "learn". It supports multiple paradigms so you can apply OO, proceedual and even latter a purely fuctional paradigm based on Lambda calculus such as in Haskell.

If you want to make Android apps you have to learn Java.

I think your best tool for learning to program is time. Come up with an idea, volunteer on a project, whatever it takes to get program time down. This will allow a person to learn new ideas and discover the best tools. If you get internet through your carrier then youtube is a great place to watch coding videos on whatever device you might be utilizing at the time.
