For one, the compression ratio in the srt10 is a 10.5:1 ratio so toeven be able to push high boost you would have to put in new pistons with a lower compression rate, anddd bore and stroke it, new cams, tune and balance the crank. and 2, what you are saying is that you spent over $30,000 on a dodge srt10 that already comes factory at 500hp to the crank and cost roughly $60,000 brand new you spent atlest $90000

I'm sure you do not have an srt10 like you say you do because you have no supporting evidence, and no idiot would spend that kind of money on a pickup truck. OHHHHH YEAA one more thing, they stopped making the ram srt10 back in 06, they pulled the plug on the program, so you DO NOT have an 08 srt10.

I think you may need glasses man! The Lightning won the damn race. I looked at it several times and you can clearly see the L pull away towards the end. Also, for the record stock for stock a dakota would get killed! Anyone can mod a vehicle to be faster. I have seen a vids of plenty of moded cars and trucks that would never win a damn race ever!!!!

i find it funny how the only way ford can keep up with dodge is with a supercharger wen all dodges are naturally aspirated, including my ram hemi, and i just raced my friends lightning the other day and was winning til 60 and he only pulled on me bout 1/2 a length, if dodge were to supercharge the ram hemi, not even the srt10 ram, it would blow the doors off a pos lightning, now if they supercharged a ram srt10, the pos lightning wouldnt even be able to keep the dodges taillights in sight

Just fyi. You can turbo just about any engine you want. Just depends on your setup and how much boost youll be running...No need to throw around misguided info.

Not to completely diss on the Lightning as well, but the tailgate section of Lightnings are so ugly i have to look the other way. The hideous sidestep bed, HUGE bumper that you cant slap a rollpan on, andthe taillights near the bottom of the truck instead of mid or more top.

Hell..........I can say the same about the SRT-10. I think the exhaust set up on those looks terrible. The front looks fine but the rear end looks very boxy to me. If it's the quad cab those looks too big to be performance. The only SRT-10's that look good are the two door. I don't believe a performance car or truck can be 4 door.

I completely agree with you. The Quad cabs of the SRT-10 are stupid slow. I don't care what motor they have in them, they're too heavy. And I also understand F-150s are the number one selling vehicle. I never said their company was bad. I'm looking at an exact model. Most people buy the Lightning cause its already supercharged stock. But you can buy a Dakota R/T, stroke the motor, AND turbo the damn thing for the same price as a stock lightning! More bang for the buck..

a heck of a lot less to buy an r/t and build it then it would be to get a decent lightning...or do what I did and buy it already built and save that much more. My truck cost about $12k (408 stroker), tell me where you can pick up even a stock lightning for close to that amount...
