  • I LOVED the realization that you just drove a car over it and now your jjumping on it lol :) awesome!

  • dont try this at home

  • surely the hard drive itself would bugger up and start doing funning things from the vibration.

  • @wesleytarbuck Not when you use a SSD ;)

  • Will it be protected from spy sappers?

  • Comment removed

  • Or put it in hot oil for the same duration.

  • Looks rigged to me. Put it in your oven for an hour@ 250 degrees and see if it still works. Motherfuckers.

  • Comment removed

  • @Morrowinda The laptop was built to with stand common accidents that occur. Thing like sropping your laptop, spilling drink/water over it or dropping something on it. It wasn't built to with stand idiots like you putting their laptops into an oven at 250degrees you moron!

  • @sanandreas6

You actually took that shit seriously? I bet you also think that driving an automobile over a laptop is considered "common accident".

  • @sanandreas6 Actually, these are built to military spec for toughness. They range in teh $5,000 range. Definitively not for common accidents.

  • fuck , this pc is so cool xDD

  • Where are you, Chuck Norris ?

  • Is the car OK ?

  • like 30 m80s

  • The overall truth is that the Black Hawk Refurbished Toughbook is among the most reliable laptops. The fast connectivity dispels any delay due to poor connectivity. There is no wastage of time in recovering lost work, transferring data from damaged systems, replacing failed notebooks or hiring expensive IT consultants. The inside and outside of this laptop is completely secured and all hardware and software components depict the utmost in durability without any chance of damage.

  • Black Hawk Toughbooks sell Refurbished Toughbooks for people people who "Think out of the Box". For 10% of their original cost. Everyone can get access to what the military calls the Army Toughbook. We call it the Black Box for everyday application. By now you know their value, yet Black Hawk Toughbooks take it to a higher level with Military Grade Paint Schemes using Textured Black and Tan.

  • These machines are the best at what they do - low-level computing in dangerous environments. But for your average user not in construction area or warzone, let me remind that these things are $3000 for 2GB or RAM and a 160 GB hard drive. Their performance is in their incredible durability, not their computing. This is for running AutoCAD with cement mixers and jackhammers nearby, not Crysis.

  • Fast Five brought who else? xD

  • lol i can't believe the movie Fast Five brought me here.

  • i shot mine it still works

  • MIL-STD-810G or F?

72' foot drop and such. This is 'normal' use for this laptop.

  • 1:18 sweet pirate pants

  • can it play crysis?

  • I weigh more than a car

  • Cops got them in their cruisers, I've seen one when I got arrested.

  • Will it blend? That is the question.

  • how much does it cost?

  • @equitemcroce well i got mine off ebay for 200$ but brand new, anywhere from 1000$ all the way up to 4000$

  • handbrake at 1:01 :)

  • You can;t really understand what this is like anless you do it in person. I got to see a demo and even drop it myself and the only thing i was worried about was it breaking the floor or a person lol. The sound it makes when it hits the ground is almost startling

  • the only thing that can kill it is a virus lol

  • @raza9000 it cant, no matter what u do it will alway stay alive unless the hard drive have a hole on it then yes

  • @coolgames14 thats crazy man

  • @raza9000 what im saying it's truth, with lots of computer knowledge u can pull a small piece of imformation out of that hard drive even when it fully erase and everything

  • @coolgames14 Sorry dude I took your post the wrong way before. Your absolutely right!!!!!

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • @salman2070 the best thing is that it actually can

  • im a telecon technician, and i have this one for work. have dropped it several times but never poored water over it lol

  • @coolgames14 Nope

  • @samn100 NO

  • 2.7k base model.

  • Unbelievable. You had me wincing when you poured all that water over it.

  • You should have thrown water balloons on it :P

  • this should be a nice gaming laptop :D

  • @cesarsony124 actually, no. it has the processor of a netbook. the video card blows. the only reason to have this laptop is to get the job done. (perfect for construction workers, factory workers, even soilders.)

  • negate what i said in the past, you can play some games on it. but dont expect to be playing call of duty, 1 to black ops. :P

  • ugly ass laptop

  • @djchopsticks0208 at least it doesnt snap in half when it gets run over by a car like a pretty laptop =). Function>looks

  • @Dnizzle7 but it still has its limitations, i mean.... JUST LOOK AT IT!!!!!!!

  • @djchopsticks0208 bottom line is, this laptop will last longer in a rough environment than a pretty macbook or pretty HP DV series.

  • @Dnizzle7 If I live in Alaska or something I would sure buy this notebook... but not for using at home, cuz, you know... there are no bears or lions in here...

  • it is a resistent computer..loool

  • Now spill acid on it.

  • Anyone knows if these laptops available out side the USA???

  • @mrmjordan no only Americans that support obama have one sent for free

  • @ElPeruanoUFO No need to be sarcastic

  • @mrmjordan EBAY. thats where i got mine :)

  • @BernnardoKarateFreak Thanks a lot ^_^

    Do you recommend it???

  • @mrmjordan

If you have 5000 USD to spare.

  • @azaznator

I bought one used for 350 USD

  • @Kabirstan

    Hot damn.

  • "we just run a car over it"

  • wat about the monitor?

  • What is with the ugly grey plastic in general? For this laptop why not use full black rubber finish?

  • of course the mac is broken by water its not made to be water resistant. and although durable, lets face it this looks like crap!

  • Very ugly lap top!

  • but very handy! :)

  • I just bought a used cf 50 what years did they make this laptop? how old is it?

  • i had this laptop and it's heavy

  • They now have a CF-F8 which is a 14.1" and claims to be the lights 14.1" in the world so check that one out! lol

  • the reason why andy jumps on it because he thinks he is chuck norris

  • Who would pay more than $4000 on a laptop that is "tough".

Tell me, are you dumb enough to drop your notebook like that? If you're holding it, I'm pretty much sure you'll hold it with your life.

  • @Vacantsy there are some businesses that need computers on site that have a lot of hazards that need to be accounted for

  • people in army use it

  • i would medical and firemen uses them

  • Police do as well.

  • Im pretty sure he is testing its durability.

  • That in the Video is the CF 28

  • How much are one of thease? Sweet lap top! Great vid! Thanks!

  • I have a CF-30 that the owner got pissed off at and cracked the lower case and completely snapped and destroyed the LCD and upper casing. He even chopped apart the keyboard with a ballpoint pen.

Dropping it in a controlled test onto a piece of carpet is hardly a challenge. Driving over it in a tiny POS car isn't either. Search "drives over arm" and you'll see you can drive over your forearm since there isn't much weight over 1 of 4 wheels. The guy jumping in the middle of the LCD is risky.

  • @bucktheusa It cuts away before it shows what happened from him jumping on it. ha ha.

  • These are the morons that can't read a wet paint sign, and ignore them.

Either that, or more money than brains, $2700.00 computer, lets see if it'll survive a truck running over it.

  • hmmm i have to laugh at you, by using the dollar sign it shows you are american... americans are stupid, thi sis england, we get insurance to cover everything with ease, please, ensure you have grounds for an argument before you start it.

  • we at qantas have just started using these in our 737-400 & 800 aircraft as on board performance tools called Electronic Flight Bag. Already a First Officer spilt coffee over 1 and killed it

  • i spill 2 coffee and many other cold or hot beverages but works like new!!!

  • i wish the just threw it up ... would be awersome

  • send virus ... boooom

  • use anti virus booooom booom

  • Me and all my coworkers have these at work. All the touchpads get really inaccurate and intermittently stop tracking. The touchscreens aren't sensitive enough, you have to press it hard with your fingernail. The screen is impossible to see in direct sunlight as well, brightness is way too low even at max. They do take a good beating though.

  • i think because you are using the battery it shows less light, you can make it brighter by pressing "fn key and f2 key"

    1> press hold fn key

    2> tap tap f2 key

but in the daylight, these are not antiglare screens, they're simple lcd unlike OLED screens that show in daylight fitted on macbooks and some acers, sony ect..

  • The screens you mentioned are just LED backlit, not OLED.

If they were OLED, they'd cost about £2000 more.

  • yes its just what i said "normal lcd" oled now is on the cheap not like before if ever they gona make the next model it should be around £200 more for oled option.

  • OLED is still incredibly expensive.

The XEL-1 is only 11" and is still over £3000!

For a 13" Macbook with an OLED screen (if you could buy it), at present you'd be paying round about £4000.

Did you mean £200 or did you actually mean £2000?

  • my fault! i was talking about LED screens

OLED are super high price still not many laptops out there with OLed.

  • WOW....

i wanna actually try using toughbook under water haha

  • no no noooooooooooooo not the waterrrrr ha ha ha thats what dell and hp would say very nice test

  • inacreditavel

  • thats the laptop most cops use.

  • Actually it wasnt compied by Tim because his was put out this year.

  • this is 3 years older then timothydelaghetto

  • this shit copied timothydelaghetto

  • this shit was made wayyy before timothydelaghetto made it

  • so what timothydelaghetto was funnier

  • lmao it was but they didnt copy him XD

  • Panasonic is the best.

    That was a great test

  • @interlinkknight excatly Panasonic is awsome, Sony is crap.

  • macs are shit. Windows for life.

  • it would be better if they ran over it when the laptop was pen

  • Why does Mac Vs. PC always comes up when its not about mac.....

  • can it get scratches and scars ?

  • now use a sledge hammer

  • Can this cpu work completely under

    water

  • They should have pissed on it.

  • $4,461.95

    Office Depot Store

  • At least I'm confident to give it to a five year old, you should make a special "child's abuse test"

  • when i was 5 i had a rifle

  • of course you did. ¬_¬

  • poor toughbook

  • we got an emo!...lol

  • about 1700

  • how much does this cost?

  • The only interesting laptop imho, this is what portable computers are ment to be like, not all design bullshit like Macbook or plastic like Thinkpads.. These are real workhorses for all kinds of enviroments, I really would buy one if they didn't cost like a better used car :/

  • would be a perfect candidate for me, i break mine a lot

  • so what about dropping it. my little sister has dropped 2 laptops down stairs, breaking the wireless card both times.(external ones) and they still worked

  • Comment removed

  • but would it survive chuck norris?

  • Chuck Norris uses toughbooks.

  • Mine is working perfectly since 18 months..

in a atoll ,with salty environment ,and where no others would been surviving more than 2 months..

and it cruising often on boats with salty water drops ..

    ..rgds

  • wow. that is one tough book.

  • incredible

  • to the mac lover, macs are definitely an acquired taste of a computer, they are way too over priced, and no that's not cause i "can't afford" one, it's because they just they are just an overall over-rated computer, face it windows based computers are and always will be better.

  • I'm not a Mac lover, but I do use Macs. However, I also use Windows and I am just getting into using Linux.

I have a MacBook Pro and it's a good laptop.

But, the Panasonic Toughbook has a very specific purpose: to take a beating in environments where a laptop can be subject to a lot of stress that can break it, yet you still need to be able to process data reliably in the field.

You'd never want to take a MacBook Pro, a Tecra, or a ThinkPad to the places a typical Toughbook goes into.

  • > You'd never want to take a MacBook Pro, a Tecra, or a ThinkPad to the places a typical Toughbook goes into.

    Like school?

  • That's my boy. I use a ThinkPad x200 now but came from using a first gen Intel MacBook. Had to move back to PCs because the new MacBooks look less Linux friendly now.

  • I think it looking less like Linux is a good thing. Linux is not known to be the most user-friendly OS at all. And MacBooks are made of aluminum, so they should do well in this kind of tests.

  • So you can run a car over a Macbook and then pour water over it?

  • its not a MAC lol i can snap those things in half this is a Panasonic toughbook

  • the laptop is clearer running windows. Mac's can not survive these kinds of tests. They have less durable of a structure then a thinkpad and cost twice as much. Linux can be put on both macs and windows pc's. I have no idea what your even talking about

  • mac are good toughbooks are great.

  • FALSE!!! I know people that have Macbooks and one of them was killed when it droped water over the keyboard accidentally.

The change of logic Board costs $1300 USD

Every macbook has not protection on the keyboard if you drop water over the keys W,E,S,D becuause the processor are rigth down over those keys.

I have a BlackBook and the plastic are too weak, if i drop as they dropped the panasonic would not survive.

  • I was talking about aluminum Macs, which are the ones that are more water-resistant. And the plastic in the other MacBooks is not weak. It's polycarbonate, and it's used mainly for different types of armor.

Stop talking out of your ass. You didn't even read my comment.

  • Man sorry the macbook killed with water was a Macbook Pro Aluminum the first gen 1.83Ghz With ATI-X1600 That Logic Cost $1300, And the plastic macbooks are weak because the white top case decolorate, and the border at the rigth where i place the hands to type the plastic it breaks over a year usage, so if i drop my macbook would break in many pieces.

If you have a video making those tests on a macbook i'll like to see.
