  • Haha, just got an Obama campaign ad on this website. "Your voice powers our movement." The stereotype of gun owners is that they're dumb right-wingers, so that made me laugh. Or maybe the irony is that you're talking about a Commie Cannon in this video... In any case, LULZ :)

  • This is PK (7.62). I was a soldier in Soviet Army. I know.

Second generation of this MG is "Pichineg" - moder-n of PK.

  • на пласмасовой игрушке прикольно играть ...... я с печенькой хожу за зайцами.

PS. у нас на красной площади нет медведей !!!

  • Semi-auto machine guns are oxymorons in themselfs

  • That's not PKM it's PK

  • @zheka1780 Actually it is a PKM. It utilizes the all stamped PKM topcover (PK is milled attached to stamped front), the stamped belt advance and belt retainer (PK is milled), lightened barrel (PK uses thicker barrel and sometimes with flutes), and short flash hider (PK used long). Those are just a few of the differences. The Hungarian gun pictured is PKM. The Stepanov Tripod was made for the PKM not the PK... the Samaozenkov (sp?) was made for PK.

  • @MarColMar Exactly PK uses long flash hider just like in your video. Tripods Samozhenkova and Stepanova can be used on both PK and PKM. I'm not too familiar with hungarian, chinees, yugoslavian or polish knock off of PK (PKM) so I really can't tell what are those exactly PK or PKM. I was referring to it's original Soviet/Russian design. Plus starting from late 80s PKM wooden parts replaces by plastics ones.

  • It's so difficult ... ;;

  • A semi-auto machine gun...it just sounds...

    wrong

  • But the price is right lol ;)

  • Would it be possible to disassemble the tripod and mount just the cradle with the pivot/swivel and mount the weapon on a vehicle or building?

  • No, the cradle does not have a typical pintle mount system of the U.S. variety. It is non-detachable. However, Ohio Ordnance Works has a fantastic cradle that does fit on traditional pintles. Tell them Dave Bane at MarColMar sent ya.

  • You mention the adjustment lever for fine adjustment.

Does this click in increments such as mils?

The T&E on the US M3 and M122 tripods traverse and search in one mil increments and the M192 levers are in 4-5 mil increments.

Even though it's a Traverse and Elevation mechanism, most doctrine refers to up and down adjustments as search. (Don't yell at me, I didn't write any MG gunnery books!)

  • No, the PKM tripod does not have that precise an adjustment... it was primarily made for AA use and long range assisted firing... not traditional defilade type fire.

    Dave

  • I actually like this company and their products but i am still waiting for a full auto PKM from them.

  • ...or get a book on how to convert semi-to-full ;)

  • if u know any books for the PKM tell me because i dont know of any

  • I'm actually not sure if there are any conversion manuals out, yet. Afterall the semi-auto has only been out for a short while.

All the PKMs I've handled have been full auto, but if I ever got my hands on a semi-auto I'd be able to tell how to do the conversion. It's usually just a matter of removing a small piece of metal.

If you're interested in other PKM books, here's a site to check out: thefind(dot)com/family/info-machine-gun-manual

  • @TheCrazyFinn and go to jail for 10 years unless you are a class 2 manufacturer.

  • @mikeymike4g63 For owning a book?

  • @TheCrazyFinn obviously you implied that you would use the book to convert the PKM to full auto. If you convert the PKM to full auto you will get caught and go to jail. Everyone will know you're the guy with the full auto PKM and one day someone will ask to see your papers. When you can't produce them you will be investigated by the BATF. Let's be serious here, you know what you meant when you said it. Don't be a troll.

  • @mikeymike4g63 Or you can convert it if you need to. Till then, keep the book handy. ;)

  • @TheCrazyFinn Right...

  • Great demmo thanks. You aren't kidding about the tripod being stiff at first. I was initially worried about breaking it since it was so stiff. Thanks for showing the Transvers limiting tabs. I didn't not know about those. Also thanks for showing the fine elevation adjustment. I didn't know about that either.
