The NDP are the only hope for Canada's sovereignty. When Harper says "there isn't really a Canadian economy anymore, it's a global economy", "it means a loss of national sovereignty" and "we need a global governance" the Canadian public should be very concerned. Also in light of the head of CSIS warning the Canadian public about Canadian political figures having fallen under foreign influence. When innocent protestors are stormed by riot police, something is terribly wrong.
@Neurolanis I would love to see the NDP get elected...
That is...if I wanted to watch the Country get destroyed.
Harper has a point, there is a global economy. Why do you think when the US collapsed, the entire planet basically collapsed. You need to be a little more informed me thinks.
@Neurolanis No doubt, if you took the time to read my comment, than you would know that I was saying that same thing by proxy.
But Harper is not wrong to say there is a Global economy. However, the global economy was the natural evolution of what we considered national independent economies. WIth multi-national companies, you will have multi-national economic changes.
@LivesForJihad No, you defended Harper with the Global Economy crap. We never needed to surrender ourselves to it. We certainly had our own independent economy before Mulroney and Chretien signed us onto the Free Trade scam. It's allowed a centralization of wealth which has caused our economy to suffer ever since. Harper is going further with this, secretly working the border deal with the States. He's even worse than Mulroney because he acts like a dictator. We do not need that in a Democracy.
@Neurolanis You obviously have no idea what a REAL dictator is like...so I am just going to end this conversation on the note that you are, indeed, a fucking moron.
@LivesForJihad I'm talking definition, not opinion. Stephen Harper controls the whole damn system, does whatever the hell he wants to do, and kicks out anyone who disagrees with him. What does that describe, the political leader of a Democracy? Hardly. Yet he tries to present himself as a non-threatening numbers guy to the public. That's why I call him Our Gentle Dictator.
If you listened more and rambled less you might learn something.
Jack Layton needs to attack Ignatieff more if you ask me (which no one has). People are a lot more likely to switch from Liberal to NDP than from Conservative to NDP.

@LivesForJihad Free Trade (Globalism) is *destroying* our economy...in case you haven't noticed. You need to be a little more informed.
