I love this guy! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Guruka! Makes me smile and feel lighter each time. :-) Very much transmitting a beautiful state of consciousness. THANK YOU.
I am saving to make a trip to india, to meet the sikh,l and to learn from the sikh, is there anyone who has any contacts therei could meet or talk too?, i am from denmark, and i will travel there i 2011..
In the Kaliyuga, were there is no time for the rituals and practices of old, we have to keep it simple , the clock is ticking faster every day.]Be practical, reduce everything to its essence.Temporal or spiritual, it hardly makes a difference. The two Nishan Sahebs at the Darbar Saheb are almost of the same height.
Guruka Singhji's observations are obviously aimed at persons from a Christian background .He does what Guru Nanak Devji said. Keep it simple.
Rather than than get involved in the finer points of what is Sikhi and what is not or who is a Baba and who is not (topics on whichI am not qualified to comment upon anyway) I would like to share my impression of this video in just a few words.
What Guruka Singhji says here is beautifully simple and very true at the same time. The truth is always simple.
your message made a lot of sense to me, I truly appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts on this, I don't have words to tell you how grateful I am. You have completely re-framed an issue that I was dealing with up until I saw your video.
this is beautiful .. everything from what i know about gurusikh is right bt again who am I to say that ... .. that is y gursikh r different bt only those that get the message.....
I agree with Sher Singh and Babbersher. Sikhi is taught and practised with a big pinch of panjabi tradition/culture. I recently came back from India and all that I heard from the various sants/giannis, and elders didn't make sense. Some of their beliefs and practices seem very primitive, similar to those practised in hinduism. I have always had a gut feeling that there is more to Sikhi, and watching these videos has confirmed that. I want to leave hell and find heaven. Thank you for enlightening
no one has said hes a baba, nor does he claim to be a baba, harjas kaur what u dont realise is the fact that alot not all but alot of gianis and religious sants may teach gurbani, but teach it with a pinch of punjabi tradition which isnt sikhi, these gore see gurbani in its purest form.
At least he is preaching in a good way, and before any1 comments that we are not supposed to preach, if we don't i fear sikhi will decline even more, bcus there r religions out there converting in mass numbers
Harjas Kaur ji , in my opinion ,Guruka Singh ji is not saying something which is not accepted in Gurbani . Gurbani merely states that there is no heaven & hell where humans go after death . As such Christian heaven & hell is not what he is talking about . He is merely stating that heaven & hell is a state of how u r living now . Not after death . Gurbani states that " Dhan(u) nahi.... apney gurparsadey . " (pg 969 SGGS ) & " Taha baikunth(u) jah kirtan tera tun apey sarda laeh " (pg 749 SGGS )
Guruka Singh has an uncanny ability that makes you forget that your on a computer watching a video, and makes you feel like he's right next to you talking about such great things :)
Harjas Kaur, I'm not sure why you feel that this message is "anti-gurmat" and contradicts Gurbani. I disagree. I think you are merely misunderstanding the message and obviously have a very different understanding of Sikhi and different viewpoint then Guruka Singh and myself. The video is explained in this way because many Sikhs have taken on the Christian style of Guilt/Sin complex when I think the Guru's taught about this in a very different way then it is practiced today.
Western style converts interpret Guilt/Sin complex from Christianized background. Gurbani is very clear. When this video says guilt is a waste of time, hell and heaven are here it contradicts Gurbani. Besides, Sikhi teaches merging with the Divine is the ultimate. Dukh is the medicine. And there are worlds upon worlds. There are plural heavens and hells.
You should really go to Sikhnet and educate yourself. Before this website, i didn't really care about things like Karma, Reincarnation, and that Sikhs don't believe in sin/heaven/hell etc (basically everything that seeps into our beliefs due to western culture/movies)... once you educate yourself u will really realize how progressive Sikhi really is, and how backward the statement 'ignorance is bliss' really is :)
Your first statement is correct....and this is the point of the video. That doesn't mean that Sikhs haven't picked up the habit. There has been much influence by western world on Sikhs and it is quite obvious to me. One can deny it, but the truth is in the pudding. Yes...we should read Gurbani, but that doesn't mean that you can't learn from a fellow Sikh. No one is proclaiming Guruka Singh as a "Baba".
I love the way he explains different concepts. His voice just touches my soul and really puts things in prospective. Thank you gmustuk for posting this.
Thanks for posting another video with Guruka Singh, it's been a while since the last one. His bits of wisdom have really roused my curiosity to learn more about the Sikh faith, and spirituality in general.

guilt doesn't exist? Some say you can't intrude logic with religion, but you seem logical.

Maybe the fact that it's completely anti-Gurmat and contradicts Gurbani made some people feel it's a joke.

Read Gurbani if you want a Sikh education. Don't listen to self-made babas.
