No, there is nothing wrong with it as long as there is not backwards motion. A lot of players have restarted this stop and go sort of PK methods, most notably C. Ronaldo. As long as the player doesn't stop then move backwards, it's fine.

For those who think it's against the rules... Do you really think players like C. Ronaldo would be stupid enough to do it if it was illegal? or better yet, don't you think Sir Alex Ferguson would have told Cristiano "Do that one more time and you're out of the team!"

Of course players are allowed to stop during the run up to take a penalty!

Actually, when taking a PK you can't stop moving. Once you start you can't stop and then restart. If the player comes to a stop the PK is taken again.

I've never owned a soccer game before but after playing the demo on my PS3, I can't get that song out of my head (Waving Flag by K'naan) and am amazed at how much fun it was to play. After demos of Madden 10 and NCAA 10 (and reading some pretty bad reviews), this thing blows the pants off those already. That's hard for me to believe considering I love football and baseball and only really am interested in soccer when it comes to the World Cup.

Doesn't look too much different than FIFA 10, only reason I'm buying it cause it has 199 countries in it, and it'll be fun to play around with them all. They should add more Clubs and all these Countries for FIFA 11.

Yes, it does indeed just look like easy money for EA. They have announced nothing that lifts it from Fifa 10. Time will tell, but I really expect the game to get a low score due to it not improving on Fifa 10. I really hope people read at least one review before they buy this. We don't want EA getting rich on cheap stunts. EA needs to know that the public demands quality.
