  • The Bible is 100% true.

  • Sorry christians, you lose!!! ☺☻☺☻☺

  • Also to people, especially my fellow people of color, who accuse gay marriage of redefining traditional marriage, I say this. Yes, it does redefine traditional marriage. So did the court case of "Loving vs. Virginia". If you don't know what that is, look it up, and look at the arguments on both sides of the case. They sound very familiar.

  • To Americans who are against gay marriage: You can be religious and believe that LGBT'S are sinners, and that gay marriage is an affront to traditional marriage. That's fine, that's your right, and i respect you and your beliefs. But that's YOUR BELIEF, not mine. We are both people. We are both American citizens. We both pay taxes. You have the freedom to choose who you want to marry. I should have that right too, just as I have the right to choose MY RELIGION in this country.

  • @Tr1naB No, you do not respect our beliefs. Time has proven again and again that that respect and tolerance is not the endgame. You're being used by the few to gain power, and in the end will lose.

  • @zivjax Respecting your beliefs means you can have whatever form of marriage YOU wish. We're not going to force Churches to perform marriages that they don't believe in. Respecting your beliefs doesn't mean we have to live under them

  • Hope black people are happy that they sold their souls to the Democrats. Even in societies where homosexuality was accepted, such relationships were never called marriages.

  • @zivjax Not true. Gay marriage existed in Ming China, ancient Rome, and most indigenous peoples

  • @sammyhain13 I think that is a myth. And why doesn't it exist there now. Gays are being used by the Left to attack society.

  • @zivjax Whether you agree with it or not that's history. As for why it no longer exists, we all know that Christianity and other monotheistic religions violently imposed their standards on the rest of the world. This current fight shows that they still believe everyone should be living under their rule.

  • No, Matthew 19 is an example not exclusive or exhaustive statement. It is similar to women being pastors or bishops, which is also fine. You are ignoring Jesus healing the Roman Centurions body slave and Christ praising the pagan for his faith. God made homosrxuals, it is not a choice.

  • GO MARYLAND!! Sooner than later the equal rights of marriage will become law.

    Absolutely fabulous indeed!

~Grew up in Maryland and work tirelessly in Ca for the same equality. BTW I've been married for 33 years. I am a woman and my husband is a man. We both grew up in strong catholic families that embraced humanity.

I am proud of Maryland today.

  • God's Marriage = 1 man and 1 woman?

Clearly you never touched the Bible

  • @OnKneesforJesus4 Why did you block me and not USRecovery on one of your videos?

  • Not all Christians are opposed. There are gay Christians, and Jesus Christ never condemned homosexuality. Conservative Christians have no right to deny equal rights because of their religious beliefs.

  • @oriolesfan61 Jesus defined the only marriage God recognizes in Matthew 19 as being one man and one woman.

Other than that, he had nothing to say about it.

  • Just as long as black folks remember and understand that the "root law" which can be used to prevent same sex marriage..was and can also be used to prevent them from breathing.

  • O'Malley is a political whore everything he does is to promote his political career he continues to raise taxes during these hard economic times as with many other issues that support any liberal agenda for his personal gain. He has recently raised tolls for bridges/tunnels, implemented more speed cameras to generate more revenues and is trying to get a 6 cent tax increase on gasoline. This is happening as many Marylanders continue to struggle he just flat out doesn't care.

  • If you want marriage to be between one man one woman then take out the benefits of be married. You get rights with marriage, then it has nothing to do with the state and everything to do with the church. If you want to protect marriage ban divorce!!

  • @pucktham The benefits issue could be resolved with allowing civil unions as it relates to an estate or other tax and death benefits. This could actually be accomplished without civil unions or marriage. The issue is really about changing the definition of marriage which many oppose, the benefit issue is just another false talking point. Its really more about the social victory for the gay community in trying to gain acceptance and are using marriage as a tool in accomplishing this.

  • @DHarri9977 "The issue is really about changing the definition of marriage"....and this is also just another "false talking point".

Expanding the definition to include gays does not change the description of your marriage in any way, shape, or form.

This is the main reason that the anti-gay marriage lobby is failing......they can't seem to come up with one single real, negative side effect of expanding the definition.

  • Marriage should be between one man and one woman.

  • @1954phyllis or one man and one man or one woman and one woman.

  • @davidls11 what ever

  • Mm, think it's happening in Washington state, too. Looks like the US might be one step closer to being that "nation for equality" they so believe they are. Good on them! ^-^

  • hilarious! White bigots in agreement with Black voters! What a laugh!

  • @TerryComo2010 - I know rite!

  • Get a life all you haters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • From Annapolis here. This disgusts me. We aren't all progressive. Even in my parent's church (I'm atheist) there is a sheet advertising the protection of the sanctity of marriage. Gosh, it is disturbing.

  • "Denise, according to this Gonzalez poll, 99% of all people are cunts."

  • Please Jesus, start your second coming so that we don't have to listen to these assholes anymore.

  • This year is going to be a huge year for LGBT rights. Washington, Maryland, and New Jersey are likely to pass gay marriage soon and It will be on the ballot in Maine and a few other states. Christians will just have to get over it.

  • the moment God (and religion) came into it their views and points became invalid. this country is supposed to be secular with the church and state separate, therefore i do not see why gay marriage is an issue, or even up for a vote, rights are called rights because they aren't meant to be voted upon, they are RIGHTS

  • The only reason black people are against it is because they are ashamed of being black so they take out there anger at other people.

  • @Newreligion100 blacks are not ashamed, they are proud..but if you can in that little brain of yours think about how strong faith in god helped blacks get through slavery, racism, etc..blacks have nothing to be ashamed of seeing all they've been through and survived, sorry if thats how you want blacks to feel, but too bad for you, they don't. Quit being ignorant SMH

  • Why don't Christians go pick on divorced people.

  • African Americans should be ASHAMED of how they are ready to discriminate against other minorities. Ironic.

  • @IvanAndreevich not all african americans BTW :)

  • @oakaveli Of course not. I certainly meant only those who do :)

  • @IvanAndreevich - That was quite a generalization. A big minority of African-Americans do support gay rights and gay marriage. I'm proud to say I'm part of that significant African-American minority.

  • @IvanAndreevich - Anyways, the majority of black Americans are against gay marriage: 1) Because most black Americans identify as or lean towards theologically conservative Christianity due to heavy Baptist tradition. Pretty hypocritical IMO given 70% of black kids are born out-of-wedlock, which conservative Christians consider sinful; 2) African-American cultural concepts of masculinity and femininity dating back to medieval West African cultures seeing homosexuality as a form of insanity.

  • Consenting adults in monogamous relationships may be allowed to marry... Christians Protest in Anger!!

  • God's Marriage= King Solomon and his 700 wives.

  • I want a poll to see how many of these people opposed to equal marriages for religious reasons have actually read the Bible.

$5 says it's close to none.

  • You know its good when you piss people off.

  • Gay marriage is a union between two people of the same gender , they are different things, now please lets move on.

  • You'd think that nigger would understand the plight of minorities.

  • Black people need to chill

  • ignorance now in color II

  • Nobody is making people give up on their religious beliefs by making it legal for gay marriage. What the fuck is wrong with them- Oh religion

  • The woman at 44 is an abberation of nature,

  • Cowards.

  • Isn't it ironic that a lot of black people oppose gay rights?

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

  • Dear Christians,

You had your chance for the last 2,000 years and you started the dark ages, now do everyone a favor and GTFO of politics.

    Regards,

    Everyone else.

  • These people are probably against interracial marriage too.

  • Notice how when people claim that gay marriage will leave society to crumble and ruin "the family" they never say how?

  • A friend of mine's parents are not married. They are a perfectly functional.

  • Men should marry men and only have women for sex anyway.

  • If marriage is the foundation of American society, why do so many of your marriages end in divorce? Just a thought.

  • Marriage equality is the wave of the future. Those opposed to it are being left in the dust by people that see the inequity of denying marriage to 2 loving and committed people. Those opposed must face facts, if they continue to deny marriage to same sex couples they are discriminating against others. This is not what this country was founded on, it was founded by men committed to equality and to give shelter to those oppressed by the majority. Choose this day who you will serve, fear or freedom

  • @journeyer58

Like a tidal wave indeed it is coming. Change is coming.. not all will like what is coming but well. I don't think the little walls you can put up will stop the big wave. Change is coming.. and no it isn't the end of society nor the second coming of a certain god.

  • Without a doubt the wave of the future is one in which religion does not play such a seminal role. This would be a happy day, one where the people would not have a fear-based life, where the compassion that is evidently missing from religion is prevalent and people care for one another.

We have a chance to change the way this country is run, please set yourself a goal of helping one other person who needs it. This way, you start a movement of change for the better. Thank you!

  • Not to mention did the blacks forget that about 60 years ago a black and a white couldn't mary. Nah hypocrites they have forgotten that once they wanted a certain right. And now they are the bully trying to block it to others.

  • @masticina well marriage licenses were used to prevent inter-racial marriages. It goes beyond me why there needs to be a license for a marriage in the first place xD

  • @kmelfina

True.. but it probably is administrative stuff. You know for the IRS, for the LAW, for the companies.. having a marriage certificate changes you from 1 to a 1+1 situation.

But yeah if you want you can just mary at Elvis Palace down the street, just pay the registering fee and Elvis stands ready to mary you. Buy pictures of this event for a mere $10 a piece as you walk outside maried. Enjoy the Elvis burger at the close by Elvis Restaurant!

  • *pokes the mouth foaming christian* ... yeah.. how about a cold shower and forced prescription on some nice lovely pills....

  • Good grief. Don't these people have anything better to do? this shit is just so pathetic. Equality is absolutely meaningless if it doesn't include everyone. these Jesus freaks make me sick

  • it bothers me so much that black people are so religious! ugh!

  • @MsRobotRock Me too. You'd think they'd understand being discriminated against. Unfortunately it only has to do with religious dogma. What a virus it has become on our world

  • Mike Hellgren...damn!

  • It's 2012 and this is still happening. Just because of a couple of sentences in an old book.

  • Imagine all the real issues we'll be able to know and set our collective mind to dealing with once the bigots lose this fight once and for all.

  • Pastor Bob Borger, stop hiding in the closet.

  • urgh, I don't care what 'God' says about marriage, let them be happy for f**ks sake.

  • Wait....

African Americans are the largest group of people opposing equal rights in Baltimore? And this most likely is because of a book once used to oppress them?

    Ignorance truly is bliss. UGGGGG!!!!!

  • It doesn't fucking MATTER what the Bible says or does not say, if it was mistranslated or not. Either way, what it says can be WRONG, period. The problem isn't that people are ignorant of what their holy book says, the problem is that people hold a BOOK as unquestionable and holy in the first place. The very idea that the almighty creator of all that exists puts down his will in literature of ancient human tribes is the problem's root.

Put the book away and start paying attention to reality!

  • equal rights for all, NOW.

  • Imagine how hateful you have to be to get involved, and try to ruin the lives of people who have nothing to do with you.

  • lol black people are the most hateful and bigoted people in the world, they can all just fuck off.

  • @Southparker100000000 Please don't generalize Black Americans like that. =/ Instead of feeling hate towards an entire group feel compassion for those Gay men and women who are Black as well. In many places that is a huge double minority and they have to deal not only with those that stigmatize homosexuals but also Black people. I think we need to understand that it is Black churches being controlled by the FRC, it's ilk, and zealotry that is causing this racial divide.

  • @Beeht Considering the guy who makes these videos is doing a parody, it's possible the person who said that is also. At the very least, I hope so.

  • @Beeht Don't bother, you're being trolled.

  • Look at all of those noses sticking into other people's business. Disgusting.

  • Where in the bible does it ever mention marriage to be between 1 man & 1 woman?. if have yet to find it, however there are numerous mentions of marriage to multiple woman such as polygamous relationships. Christians are NOT being asked to 'give up their beliefs' but to listen to the needs of others & show compassion (you know being more like Christ).

Why are African Americans so opposed to this?, i don't get it? have they forgotten the days of segregation & being seen as 'unclean' by whites?.

  • @MultiInternetfreak The bible says plenty about homosexuality that it need not say anything about gay marriage. It calls homosexuality an "abomination" and condemns gays to death or at least exile.

  • @undisputedgreatest No where in the original Greek and Hebrew texts does it mention homosexuality specifically as a sin. Those were added later in the re-translations. What it does talk about in the original texts is sexually immoral acts which are any sex acts out of marriage. The Bible speaks of marriage between a man and a woman, this is true, but it makes no mention for or against homosexual marriage. If homosexuals are married then their sex acts cannot be immoral.

  • @Beeht So....you are a Christian that supports gay marriage? That is the only conclusion I can come to for your defending the bible here, and giving me the "translation" arguments. The bible is a convoluted mess of hatred and bigotry; no need to defend it, and even less need to follow anything in it.

  • @undisputedgreatest I was a hardcore self-hating gay Catholic for 15 years. I'm a Agnostic atheist now. Defending the Bible? No. However, from your original response it was difficult to discern if you were a Christian pointing out that the Bible condemns homosexuals or that it's a silly book and no point in arguing about it (which I agree with.) I chose the first possibility and decided to point out the literary and historical context inaccuracies of said "sin." :)

  • @undisputedgreatest -If your son curses, you should you put him to death (Exodus 21:17, Leviticus 20:9, Matthew 15:4).Should we stone adulterers (Leviticus 20:10).

Sanctioning of selling your youngest daughter to slavery (Exodus 21:7)

Kill all those who work on the Sabbath (Exodus 35:2)

Kill farmers for planting two seeds side by side (Leviticus 19:19), & kill all those who wear clothes made of more than one fabric.Don't use to bible to support your own hate unless you also support these.

  • If only people were as passionate about protesting pointless wars and corporate greed as they are about what consenting adults like to do in their private life....

  • @TempleOfInanna2

It does make it hard to be part of a society that thinks this way.

  • @TempleOfInanna2 i feel the same way. this is sooo stupid!

  • @TempleOfInanna2 This is M'erica and people here really don't care much about deficits or what is going on in other countries. They are more into what in it for them in the here and now.

  • Fucking christians, doing what ever they can to halt progress because their own petty personal comfort is more important.

If gays get married how will it affect them? It wont! So shut the fuck up!

  • How is allowing same sex marriage forcing people to give up their religion?
