Hmm, I think this was a fair question and one of the decent ones asked. However, I think people should be ashamed they don't bother, rather than say "oh, if it was only on a weekend..." For those disenfranchised, the day won't matter anyway.

Convenience is not the real issue. I think people don't vote because there's no real choice.

The two large parties keep giving us virtually identical candidates who consistently work for the interests of large corporations, while working to exclude all the small third parties. And the 5 corporations that run the news keep telling us that voting for a third-party candidate is a waste of a vote.

We have one real party - the Pro-business Party - with two wings to give us the illusion of choice.

People are no longer voting because we don't like the choices being presented to us.

The only way to get people voting again is to allow the option to say NO to the candidates chosen for us.
