yeah, i tried to go w/o an epidural but didnt and unfortunately for me there were 11 babies being born the same day so when i decided i did want one i had to wait thru the pain just to have a pocket that didnt take to the med. so i still felt pain on my left side so do what u feel is right for you and dont go thru it to where u cant enjoy her birth!! lol the glucose drink was really sweet tasting!!

You're not supposed to eat that morning..the only time you have to fast the night before is if you FAIL the first test, they'll give you a second in which you drinks like double the glucose..so yeh, just don't eat anything in the morning, drink water only but not a lot of it. The glucose drink isn't that bad..it taste like flat orange soda..you'll be fine.
With the glucose test you don't really need to do anything, but the more sugary stuff you eat the higher your sugar levels are going to be. So if you don't eat it will be more accurate, but you might get a sugar headache afterwards so bring food!
yumy/nasty drink? thats great i used that when i had to drink the cat scan shake they give you. its so gross i had to use a straw in the back of my throat just to drink it lol

time changes in Spain too, it's pretty much universal in the developed parts of the world, there is only 1 state in the continental US that doesn't use it (Arizona) and only 2 provinces in Canada that don't use it. Parts of South America, all of Europe, parts of Australia and most of Asia have it . I don't see the reason for you explaining DST, but other than that great video, I enjoy watching the development of your little one!

yu cant eat after 12:00 am and cant eat breakfast in the morning before you goo....prepare for the drink ;/ veryyy veryy sugarryy...also sont eat junk bcuz that will effect it tomorrow and if its not that good you will need to get the 3hr glucose test.....trust me ii got it jaha ;]! hope this helped

The best advice for anyone who wants to try to "go natural" is to not get 'Pitocin' It makes your contractions harder and closer together making it almost impossible not to get an epidural. You don't need to fast for that test I didn't have to I had one early because of family history. You drink that stuff and an hour later they draw your blood. You look adorable :)
I just took the glucose test today and you dont need to fast for this one...by that I mean that if you fail the 1 hr test, you have to take a 3 hr test and you have to fast for that one but for this one u dont! I got the orange flavor sugar drink n it was nasty but not too bad! good luck! i hope i pass mine!!!
with my first son i would get these like cramp like pains on my right side right on my waist..not were the love handles are but right above it agh my got they would have me on the floor crying because incase you dont know your bones are softer than normal so i guess that causes it or your muscles are stretching.now with this pregnantcy i feel it all the time but not to the point were im on the floor crying but like if i leve it it will turn in to that i have it all the time.nothing we can do.lol
about the teeth thing, do u use a sensitive toothpaste? i do and find it does help some what, about the gluose drink if u do the 1 hr test u can eat breakfast before u have the drink, i failed the 3 hr test and have gestational diabetes, i only have 7 weeks to go so its not to bad, good luck with ur test

Hey! just wanted to tell you that you a too stinking cute!! and I love seeing your updates! try seeing a chiropractor for the back and hip pain, everything gets lose as the relaxin starts kicking in and an adjustment can really help. It also helps by giving the baby the most room to move into position and come out if everything is lined up.
Its so funny how people think it doesn't get cold here in California! Pretty much every night during this winter it has been in the low 30's here in SD. It sometimes gets colder here than it does in Oklahoma where my mom lives and they get snow! LoL

my friend kara she had her baby in jan. and she went all natural. im not against the pain drugs iether but i was surprised that she endured the pain. she was very small and it looked like she was in crazy pain but , she told me it just goes by and as soon as you have to push is the scary part but it's the best part she was like oh once you get her out all the pain like you feel relief and see you baby and it makes the pain go away
There are different Glucose tests. I had to fast. I dont remember how long, though. And the stuff tastes like watered down noncarbonated orange soda. At least mine did. I took mine over by Memorial. You can get Orange or Limon Lime. Orange wasnt too bad. I dont know about Limon Lime, though. :p

I've never been one to get them either, so whenever I get them I'm like "Okay, I'm either getting sick or I'm pregnant again" but I've only had them if I'm extremely sick/when I was pregnant.

Yeah, with me, I was told not to eat or drink for a couple hours before the test. I HAD to cheat though with mine and have a couple crackers or something just cause I was soooo weak from hunger, haha, but yeah, your supposed to keep yourself empty of everything, although im pretty sure you're allowed a bit of water, after all they don't want you to dehydrate yourself, as that wouldn't be good for you OR Lilia
for my test i just couldnt eat or drink anything 5 hours before, and it tasted like flat orange soda with extra sugar in it, wasnt that bad at all because it was cold. good luck with everything! you still look great! will be shopping for a little something for lilia and sending it to the po box soon :)
My test was at 4pm so I had already had lunch hours before...so I don't know about that...but they tell you no to eat or drink after you drink the stuff. I had mine a few weeks ago. with my son i chose the orange flavor and this time I chose the fruit punch...if they give you a choice for sure go with the fruit punch lol

Hey I don't know if Canada is different then you guys, but the nurse lady at my clinic said you can eat the morning of your test just something light with no sugar. Like a piece of brown toast or a hard boiled egg. As long as it doesn't affect your sugar levels. You could inquire about this if you do need to eat in the mornings!

Glucose tests are horrible! I had my first baby at 18 and then my second son at 21 and those glucose drinks make you want to be so sick!

When I had my glucose test I was told I could eat as long as it wasn't sugary! The drink really isn't that bad, mine just tasted like orange soda! =]

my friend kara she had her baby in jan. and she went all natural. im not against the pain drugs iether but i was surprised that she endured the pain. she was very small and it looked like she was in crazy pain but , she told me it just goes by and as soon as you have to push is the scary part but it's the best part she was like oh once you get her out all the pain like you feel relief and see you baby and it makes the pain go away

There are different Glucose tests. I had to fast. I dont remember how long, though. And the stuff tastes like watered down noncarbonated orange soda. At least mine did. I took mine over by Memorial. You can get Orange or Limon Lime. Orange wasnt too bad. I dont know about Limon Lime, though. :p

Hey jess! So I had a questionnnn: Is your hospital going to let you video tape during labor and after, if so are you going to? Or are you going to take pictures, etc. (: Just thought I'd ask, I don't think you've gotten this before or you've answered it. When I was pregnant in Sept/Oct I had headaches too! I've never been one to get them either, so whenever I get them I'm like "Okay, I'm either getting sick or I'm pregnant again" but I've only had them if I'm extremely sick/when I was pregnant.

Yeah, with me, I was told not to eat or drink for a couple hours before the test. I HAD to cheat though with mine and have a couple crackers or something just cause I was soooo weak from hunger, haha, but yeah, your supposed to keep yourself empty of everything, although im pretty sure you're allowed a bit of water, after all they don't want you to dehydrate yourself, as that wouldn't be good for you OR Lilia

for my test i just couldnt eat or drink anything 5 hours before, and it tasted like flat orange soda with extra sugar in it, wasnt that bad at all because it was cold. good luck with everything! you still look great! will be shopping for a little something for lilia and sending it to the po box soon :)

My test was at 4pm so I had already had lunch hours before...so I don't know about that...but they tell you no to eat or drink after you drink the stuff. I had mine a few weeks ago. with my son i chose the orange flavor and this time I chose the fruit punch...if they give you a choice for sure go with the fruit punch lol

Hey I don't know if Canada is different then you guys, but the nurse lady at my clinic said you can eat the morning of your test just something light with no sugar. Like a piece of brown toast or a hard boiled egg. As long as it doesn't affect your sugar levels. You could inquire about this if you do need to eat in the mornings!

I didn't get the epidural, but was definitely not against it at all. I progressed VERY fast and it was never an option.

I forgot to mention that I also had the stretch marks on my boobs (never got any on my stomch). My daughter is now 10 1é2 months old and they are all completely gone.
