  • great song great artist, love that beat

  • dentes incisivos separados são vistos em varios artistas tremendamente talentosos, no caso de john foguert juntaram se alem dos dentes, exelentes musicos, para continuar nos primeiros lugares.

  • I just found this..if you saw the original show...I was on hold for 2 hours before I got to talk to John and request this song

  • Anyone has backing tracks or a midi on this great song?

  • Is it me or is he miming?

  • Me fascina esta cancion es una de mis favoritas viva fogerty!!!

  • sweet sweet sugar sugar. :x

  • It just flat amazing what you can do with 3 chords and a capo, I just love this.

  • All the songs of John have some deep meanings, I love her because he succeeds in saying very beautiful and simple things that all understand. Chinese, oriental, Australians, Latin American, German, English, Italian and Genoese as me, are found again had been uniting for the years 60 to today, in John Fogerty. Have also infected my children, because John is a bridge among the generations and that that tells his songs, enter in the hearts and in the mind of everybody beyond the space-time!

  • j'adore John Fogerty!! la musique de toute une génération!!!

  • Great vid! Shows a mellow side of Fogerty that I really never knew existed

  • @mcw089 I think, as we age, we all mellow out.

  • Hi ya doin, good looking baseplayer?

  • i thought the same thing when john was trying to sell this song like it was a classic it sucks big time but i love fogerty

  • salvatore55 rimani il +grande da ragazzo con il mio complesso insistevo con gli altri componenti x suonare solo i tuoi pezzi adesso continuano i miei figli sei nei nostri cuori ciao

  • Brilliant song...love it

  • ça c´est chouette!

  • Nice song with a nice bluegrass style flatpickin' solo. I know John has been woodshedding his picking chops lately, and, as with every other technique and style he has absorbed, puts it into a beautiful context. I love that tapping intro he does at the beginning of Keep On Chooglin' these days.

  • Life is SWEET...SWEET as SUGAR...when you are YOUNG. Young and HEALTHY. And you are surrounded by all your Family AND friends. But if you make it out of your 20's aaaand there's NO guarantee that you will. Immortality is no Mans birthright. Well, as the decades roll, grind and fly by...a good number of your Family & Friends won't STILL be around to share the Good Times with you. And THAT'S when...you start to look for the SUGAR, SUGAR in your Life. My Man CCR knows what Time it is...

  • i m french john always help me to stay alive

  • John helps everyone stay alive - which is why he ROCKS. I think we all owe something to Mr. Fogarty...

  • He looks a lot older here than he does on the dvd Long Road Home

  • You know, it wouldn't be difficult at all to seque right into the Archies' "Sugar Sugar" from this...Hmmmm...

  • where is this?

  • WOW - this is my king!!!!

  • you guys talkin o eachother are soo gay call eachother

  • Very nice!! Fun to dance!! Danny from Quebec

  • jamming w/love

  • Having had some academic education one could say that I'm not stupid, but I never will have the genius of John Fogerty. Perhaps simple but I wish I could make those songs....

  • I'm sorry kretakatze. I guess I didn't read it correctly. The trouble with typed words is there is no inflection on the words like there is with spoken words. My fault. I need to be more careful before I criticize. I'm very sorry!! Peace! ;-)

  • Hi midlynn! No problem, as you just expressed the same opinion that I have, too. And you did criticize me politely, what unfortunately is not the standard on YouTube - there are so many horrible comments... I know my sense of humour is not for everybody's taste and my quirky jokes are easily misunderstood. So that's just ok! ;-)

  • This seems to me to be a song for rather simpleminded people whose IQ ranges in the lower regions. On the other hand, I am almost a genius, and I like to hear it, too ;-)

  • It's music. All music is beautiful. And Fogerty is a legend. But that is beside the point. To say it is a song for simpleminded people shows your lack of intelligence. Music is a matter of taste. Like I said, all music is beautiful.

  • Hi midlynn! Did you see this sign at the end of my post -> ;-) ? Do you know what it means? That's a joke! I said I'm almost a genius and I like this song - I was making fun of myself! Maybe my jokes are a bit too tricky sometimes ... In fact that's just what I wanted to say - music is no matter of intelligence, and even very intelligent people like it very simple songs sometimes.

  • I'm sorry kretakatze. I guess I didn't read it correctly. The trouble with typed words is there is no inflection on the words like there is with spoken words. My fault. I need to be more careful before I criticize. I'm very sorry!! Peace! ;-)

  • Just to explain my strange and contradictory comment: I know some people who think their taste of music is a sign of their outstanding intelligence and that people who like simple songs must be plain idiots. Their arrogance is making me angry. On the other hand, I have to admit I'm not always free of arrogance myself. So that joke was for them (and for me). I'm just afraid it's wasted here, because they will hardly ever surf to this video...

  • kretakatze, you are not alone. Music is beautiful and those that annoy us should just be ignored. We all have arrogance or we wouldn't be human. However, most of us know how to temper that arrogance to make it work in our favor. *wink*

  • Maybe I didn't get the joke, my bad. Anyhow, I believe it can be in some aspects more difficult to compose a very effective and memorable simple song because you have less to work with. As i songwriter, I used to throw in shitloads of chords thinking I was "hip" and/or clever. Turns out I was muddling it up more often than not. I'm trying now to see what I can leave out and still not sacrifice a song's essence. Fogerty is a HUGE influence on my songwriting approach.

  • @thestratlars Less is more! I agree with you. Many times my tunes had more than I needed, too.

  • hi on yourself hey must be a artist also hey i dont see u on here

  • First off, IQ only measures certain intelligences and even at that it is limited. To pronounce yourself as "almost a genius" indicates that you have little in the way of personal tact. That being said, I have listened to many different composers in many different genres; and the greats, be it Bach, Beethoven, Dupre, Franck, Beatles, Brian Wilson, John Fogerty, John Phillips, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Cole Porter, B.B. King (you get my point) are all great artists.

  • thanks for posting!
