  • how can you say "i want individual liberty for all, which ends when another person's begins" then follow that up by saying "maximizing the number of happy people would require social programs" and THEN follow that by saying "capitalism is part of it"????? You are clearly confused or a hypocrite. Or maybe you're something new like a libertarialcommunist.

  • There is no Paradise

  • It's interesting that you believe in the idea of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and yet don't believe in libertarianism. If any political philosophy best embodies the golden rule, it's libertarianism.

  • Jesus NEVER said that.

  • @GlynGreen1982 Mat 7:12 Therefore all things, whatever you desire that men should do to you, do even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets.

  • You can have all the social programs you want, but government is not necessary for that and please don't force others to pay for what you think is right. I think it's hypocritical to say you support individual liberty, while at the same time supporting coercion like that.

  • You ever heard of Soft Universalism?

  • How about sadomasochists who follow the Golden Rule?

  • You and I have identical political beliefs... marry me

  • You don't 'mix' an economy. You're either free market or you're not. Along with that, it's quite unrealistic to make everyone happy, and trying to do so ALWAYS leads to EVERYONE being unhappy. A free market economy has, can and will always make the best conditions to live under (given a democratic government as well), while Socialism has had a track record of disaster, tyrrany, starvation, disease, aggressiveness, and poverty. Sure, a free society has these things- but not as a major feature.

  • @Objectivist1994 You're ignorant and uneducated. Look to Europe to see the positive effects of socialism. Want to know what would happe to your fantasy Libertarian island? One man would rise above all others. He'd start a successful business, he'd gain wealth, he'd buy and own the corporations which provided competition, and then he'd eventually own everything. And when I say everything, I mean all forms of production and all workers. It'd be a corporate dictatorship, with him in charge. Moron.

  • You want individual liberty through social programs? oh jeez...

  • i thought you disliked libertarianism yet this video has you stating mostly libertarian principles. you are starting to confuse me now. make up your mind lady.
