Wow I had almost the hole series. I still have the very first and the very last issues. Rom was the best. And he just looks cool. His weapon was out of this world.
for all you ROM fans out there you should check out this blog site. I'm pretty sure you'll find cool art and obscure info. about our favorite silver spaceknight you didn't know existed.
ROM is a true classic. I read all 75 issues over the summer of '92 when I raided my brother's comic collection. Sadly the same year that writer bill mantlo suffered his horrible accident. Today I'm a proud owner of all 75 issues, 4 annuals, and crossovers with the X-Men. I still haven't acquired the toy but I'm getting a ROM tat later this summer.
I had issues 1-72. I had the toy as well, although I am reluctant to call it a toy, as he was more like a friend on rainy lonely days, and a guardian against the monsters that inhabited my childhood fear. Thanks good buddy.
I'm almost done with a water color rendition of ROM in a space battle scene along side with his fellow space knights. if anyone is interested in seeing it just email my aol account which has daywalkr as the screen name so i can send it to you. i can't write out the email as it's shown other wise this comments page one post.
this is why i love youtube. no matter how obscure something has become you can bet that somebody out there has found a way to get it on youtube. i still have every single ROM issue even though i've parted ways with most every other comic title i used to own.
Lfdjake91 ... it isn't that Rom is forgotten in the Marvel Universe, the copyright has reverted back to the original toy company and they aren't allowed to use him! So much so, they have had to "white out" him in a crowd scene of Marvel Heroes. Shame!
@Lfdjake91 The space knights have been erased from Marvel now. the Phalanx got them.
Annihilation Conquest: the Space Knights show up to aid in helping the Kree after the war with Annihilus. But they have been assimulated by the Phalanx and attack. So pretty much, The Space Knights, ROM, more victims of the marvel killing machine that has become the comics in the last few years.
@TheRhuen Yeah, I got turned off by comics, especailly Marvel comics, several years ago when it became jo popular & common place to just randomly kill off superheroes. It used to be the death of a superhero was a big deal now its just a regular occurance.
No kidding, I can hardly pick up a comic and they don't kill someone, or retcon them back to life. Guardians of the Galaxy just killed Phyla-Vell (again) although last time was retconned to be an illussion, and X-men has been a death countdown for half a decade now. latest victim (Aerial). X-men is a long rant, the whole timeline needs to be deus ex machina(ed) out of existence at this point going back to M-day.

It's not that Marvel doesn't want to bring it back. It is a licensed property and Marvel doesn't own the rights.

what does rom look like under the armour?
thunderstick455 2 years ago
Rom is only pieces of human flesh, some skeleton, and a brain. He's a cyborg.

Rom is an all but forgotten character in the Marvel Universe! He is still in handfull hearts around the globe! A space hero epic!
Rom has one of the best enemy characters in comic world, Darkons!
Rom's world, Galador...an utopic future world desing!
The Darkons in the our planet was pure bad charecters...
ROM WAS BEYOND OF A COMIC BOOK, IT HAS PHILOSOPHY,FUTURISM ECT...

Marvel did not own him. He was licensed. Like Transformers and G.I. Joe.
