I bought the DVD...I was a huge fan and watched 100+ japanese episodes and expected it to be medicore, but wow, was I wrong. I was so used to the Japanese version and wasn't ready for a change.

The dub was masterful. No joke.

It was hilarious, and very, very sarcastic(in a good way)! XDD Good job Funimation!

.__. ok i think...no, i KNOW this isnt gonna work as a series in america because of many obvious reasons to a fan. A.) the visual jokes will confuse regualr american audiances B.) the language additude suck as de arimasu or de gozaru. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same as the test episode. FUKi dubbed Crayon Shin-chan as a complete joke dub because apparently that's the only way they (and most other dubbers) understand to express "comedy" in anime. Considering that Keroro Gunso is a straight up comedy anime with many, many parodies and references to other anime, I expect the dub to be ten times worse than their "Shin-chan."

The funimation dub is not exactly like Shin-chan, although some of the jokes are. They kept it as close to the original as they possibly can, while replacing some Japanese jokes with American ones. Some changes were okay, but some were just akward. All the names and places were returned to normal, which is a plus to the original fanbase, but Crazy rage breath in place of Tamama impact was a little akward. The dub still is great though! The first four episodes are on their video site dubbed.

FUNimation always give the option of both dub and sub. Also, saying 'dubs are lame' is a very harsh opinion, which borders on what people would call weeabooism. Dubs are like shows in general, there are good ones, and there are and ones. For example I love the Fullmetal Alchemist dub, but I don't like the Black Cat dub that much.

The Japanese version is copyright of Sunrise, and FUNimation have the rights of distribution of Sgt. Frog in English speaking markets, not just dubbing rights, and it being distributed on sites such as youtube, which is American ran and owned, means that it is mainly being made available to an American audience, which goes against the copyright Sunrise has, and the distribution agreement between FUNimation.

You want to watch it subbed? Then watch the sub on the DVDs.

Yes, it may be unethical to download anime, but some people live in places where it is VERY hard to purchase anime DVDs, and would jump at the opportunity. So for them, they must steam them or download.

Second of all, if people watch an anime for free, they may go out and buy merchandise of that series, and therefore the company DOES make money from that, as opposed to not making any money at all if they didnt watch.
