At the first time you wrote about your Sparrow Hawk, I was worried about your goldfinches. Today I see the young goldfinches and I am sure he will never eat it them all.
The goldfinches have recognized the danger and have adapted her behavior and your Sparrow Hawk is now an asset to your garden. I wish you a nice weekend and many beautiful shots.
@mbhsug Sometimes even I feel the same..That they know this and by sense they somehow avoid the Sparrow Hawk..You have analysed it well as usual :) I see the Sparrow Hawk about 2 -3 times a day.. Then I feel that it is a wonder that I see any Gold Finches at all..

@my35Xvision I am glad that you liked their behaviour especially with the juveniles :) I also see the Sparrow Hawk about 2 -3 times a day and he looks around very thoroughly and I think that it is a wonder that I see any Gold Finches at all. For some reason the birds mostly disappear just before he comes even though he hangs around for a while.. Thank you very much for your concern and kind wishes my dear..Wish you a wonderful weekahead.
