  • Damn, letting the CPU just hang out unprotected? Pretty ballsy.

  • Thats some nice thermal paste you put on there ;) pity since its invisible its gonna be one messy job :O

    Good potential though....

Where is the silver thermal compound

  • @tlordon the thermal compound is on the heat sink, mosst heat sinks has thermal compound on thm these days

  • @fortuneajebon like i say above. Upgrading thermal compound on any thing is geek 101

that stock crap is just that crap.

  • LMAO training video.... this should be a video how not to install and touch parts... Yeah I see you had to put obama barack in your tag... LMAO I bet you wish you didn't vote for him now.... It's not going to fry the CPU it will shut itself off. GOD YOUR DUMB

  • 1. you can stick you memory stick in water 10000 times it would still function.

    2. i never shook the Hard drive, i have handles HD for years so am pretty comfortable with myself around hard drives.

    3. the Heat Sync Retainer or as you call it Cooler has a Thermal compound on it

    4. i am well gounded this is a series of 10 videos & if you had watched it from the first video you would know that.

  • for example...

1> you should nether touch the pins or chips on your memory sticks

2> you should not shake a harddrive around unless its a SSD which this wasn't

3> you should place thermal past on the processer unless aleady on cooler?

4> you should ground yourself before touch any electronic component,

5> only someone who has never built a PC or taken apart a laptop/PC would not think of locking the CPU in place.

  • @madmark2k 5. i locked the CPU & i did not make the videos for those who already know how, but to give everyone interested in building laptops that it is possible & it is not a classs room lecture it is just me having fun bulding over 5000pcs of notebooks

if you dont agreed with my methods simply build you own & put the videos up, so folks who have no idea can make smart comments

  • I can see from watching this video that the person building the laptop has next to no expirance, due to the many mistakes made and how he was treating the hardware.

I have been building and repairing both PC's and Laptops since the early days days of 486's atleast 16years and after watching you work I would nether let you touch my laptop.

  • @madmark2k well why dont you make you own videos building your own Laptops & show everyone how much you would rather do it, i am just having funyou shoild make ur own

  • @madmark2k do you have a video on building notebooks?

  • dont u need to put thermal paste on the cpu before u mount the fan???

  • @shinmasterx no you dont the thermal paste is on the heat sync retainer

  • @fortuneajebon good tutorial, only one problem it's hard to find motherboard or barebone laptops

  • you'r so funny :D

  • Why is your collar popped??? Lol...

  • excuxe me sir, do you mind tell me what all the part called? and where you bought it from?

  • is the laptop available on newegg.com?

  • this boring -_\\

  • i does but was getting a lot of fraudulent purchases so i terminated the site, but if you want a package you can call or get one from ebay

  • Is it just me or does this website no longer exist?

  • COOL

  • this is a good video but i feel that your just a little unorganized but this was very helpful =]

  • where do i get laptop cases to start building my laptop? cause desktop cases are abundant and cheap

  • do you need ay thermal paste? and where can i order these from do you have a website?

  • @Shah735

you can order from ebay or by sending a check forward your email to also let me know if you want to build yourself

  • call 3019374262 to order

  • where do you buy a kit for this

  • 3019374262 call to order

  • oooh i like buildong a notebook

  • How would you put in a video card?

Cause I don't remember watching you put in anything like that.

  • the GPU is integrated in a notebook

  • the video cards is onboard

  • i was wondering is there anyplace where i can get the intel quad core chip in a barebone notebook?

  • yes we have some but very expensive

  • Nice Vid :D that "cpu chip" is called a processor for future reference.

i gotta ask tho.. y only 1 gig of mem? isnt it a gaming laptop? go for at least 2.

  • we do know that sir, and that was just for demo, it could be 4 gigs if you want, but why would i want to open a pack of 2 gigs cpu for an amateur training video i am doing for fun?

  • haha ok.

  • "why would i want to open a pack of 2 gigs cpu "
