Hello! Hahah, I would really like to thank you for all these really useful lessons! I come from Greece and I'm a big fan of the language, so getting to know a little of it is truly amazing ^_^ So, I was wondering, how can we say "I've missed you a lot" in Romanian?
fetito, unde pula mea ai invatat engleza? e "I'm not in the mood for", nu "I don't have the mood"... si asta asa, ca s-a intimplat sa dau pauza la "moodless", ca ai o gramada de greseli. n-ar fi mai bine sa inveti tu frumusel engleza cum trebuie?
Hi! I just want to say that you are great! I would really appreciate if you could put up more about emergency sistation and with a meetibg with the doctor. Keep up the good work :)
I'm sorry. I'm going to rephrase my ridiculous question. I noticed that Romanian has an "a", as well as two other a's with different accents. Is there an English word/sound I can compare these to so they make sense?
@twiwonder the "a" with a curve pointing downwards like in limbă (language) makes a sound like... the "u" in mutt. So you would pronounce it like limb-uuhh
@twiwonder Your question is not ridiculous. You're talking about these sounds: "A", "Â" and "Ă".
"A" is pronounced "ahh", it's an open sound. Example: wonder - wAnder - , mother - (mAther)
"Ă" is pronounced like this: mother - mothĂr, above - Ăbove. For example, using Romanian letters, the word "under" could be written as AndĂr. I only highlighted Romanian sounds A and Ă.
@twiwonder "Â" or "Î" (the same sound) is like the sound "ı" in Turkish. You'll have to listen and try imitating it, many English-speaking people have trouble mastering this sound. Search on Youtube these Romanian songs and pay attention to the chorus.

Hi. I have taken both French and Latin for a while now, so Romanian has been a little easier than I thought. :) However, I'm having a really hard time differentiating between "a" the a with the arrow-shaped accent on top, and the a with the accent like a smiley face. (sorry... I hope that makes sense). There are three different a's, but ... can you help?
Wow, that helped me so much.. I wanted to say that if you did a cd/dvd course of Romanian, I would buy it, for sure. Also, I believe a lot of people would buy it, as well... Like a conversation and basic language, something that could help us more as these amazing vds helped =D For me to visit you country ^^
@vidharr17 I know what you mean; but I just want to say, nicely, that Romanian is not a "mix" of languages, Romanian is a language. Just like English is a language. Not some "mix" of Angle/Briton/German/Latin/Greek/French/Norse/etc. But, yes, it is way cool to see the influences or cognates of/from other languages.
You have the cutest accent on the planet. I love Romanians! You guys are the best. You have a beautiful country with a beautiful language. Greetings from the U.S.~!!!!
Im 15 and i was born in romania then shortly after i was put in a orphenage and adopted when i was 2y/o i only knew alil romanian but i wanted to learn more and these vids are amazing:) so keep em coming :D thank you so much
@Robyytz Pai romana de fel nu e prea melodioasa, pe langa alte limbi e chiar una ciudata :)) :D Daca vrei o limba melodioasa, care suna mai degraba ca niste lapte cu miere, cauta finlandeza :)) E tare si moale in felul ei, suna chiar ciudat :D
Amazing videos, so much good information! Thank you so much for taking the time to make these! I would love to visit your beautiful country one day and your lessons have been very helpful and useful for both vocabulary and pronounciation!
These video's are excellent, I'm coming to Romania in an couple months to visit a friend so I've been looking all over for an supplement to the books I've been studying. You've helped incredibly with the pronunciation and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the effort and time that you have put into this.
Hi! I will start studying Romanian at the university next week – your lessons are going to be really helpful! I really like that you first teach vocabulary, and then provide some sentences using the new words! Keep it up! ;)
@Quifore Thank you very much for the support ^^ I am thinking to do a little grammar video in the near future with new words, hehe :) Good luck at studying *hug*
Hey teacher :). I want to thank you for your great lessons! I am now at lesson 6/7, but I hope you will keep teaching us. I really want to learn Romanian. My girlfriend comes from Romania and I want to understand her really good :).
