  • Hello! Hahah, I would really like to thank you for all these really useful lessons! I come from Greece and I'm a big fan of the language, so getting to know a little of it is truly amazing ^_^ So, I was wondering, how can we say "I've missed you a lot" in Romanian?

    Multumesc foarte mult, Angelica ;) !

  • I'm having a hard time with feminine words. I'm moving soon to Romania and have hard time remembering the feminine ones. Any advice?

  • I'm a beginner, imi place foarte mult acest video... multumesc!! my bf gave u an I LIKE :)

  • "simt fericire"??? pe cine dracu ai auzit tu vorbind asa in romana???

  • fetito, unde pula mea ai invatat engleza? e "I'm not in the mood for", nu "I don't have the mood"... si asta asa, ca s-a intimplat sa dau pauza la "moodless", ca ai o gramada de greseli. n-ar fi mai bine sa inveti tu frumusel engleza cum trebuie?

  • Who's the turkey from turkey

  • Hi! I just want to say that you are great! I would really appreciate if you could put up more about emergency sistation and with a meetibg with the doctor. Keep up the good work :)

  • How do you say - "I think you are special" *hands flowers to Romanian girl*

    =)

  • @kloterville like this :" cred ca esti deosebita/speciala",,and the flower handing things go to you;)))

  • relexeaza-te?? What form of grammar is this? I would think "te relaxezi"

  • I'm sorry. I'm going to rephrase my ridiculous question. I noticed that Romanian has an "a", as well as two other a's with different accents. Is there an English word/sound I can compare these to so they make sense?

  • @twiwonder the "a" with a curve pointing downwards like in limbă (language) makes a sound like... the "u" in mutt. So you would pronounce it like limb-uuhh

  • @AL3Xmotodude THANK YOU! La revedere!

  • @twiwonder Your question is not ridiculous. You're talking about these sounds: "A", "Â" and "Ă".

    "A" is pronounced "ahh", it's an open sound. Example: wonder - wAnder - , mother - (mAther)

    "Ă" is pronounced like this: mother - mothĂr, above - Ăbove. For example, using Romanian letters, the word "under" could be written as AndĂr. I only highlighted Romanian sounds A and Ă.

  • @grauntele very good examples! Thanks for helping others :)

  • @twiwonder "Â" or "Î" (the same sound) is like the sound "ı" in Turkish. You'll have to listen and try imitating it, many English-speaking people have trouble mastering this sound. Search on Youtube these Romanian songs and pay attention to the chorus.

    KEO - Azi Vii Maine Pleci (mÂine)

    Dan Balan - Despre Tine Cant (Partea 2) (cÂnt)

    Elena - Pana la Stele - Romanian Music Romania Muzica (pÂnĂ la stele)

  • @grauntele thank you. i'll listen to them.

  • Hi. I have taken both French and Latin for a while now, so Romanian has been a little easier than I thought. :) However, I'm having a really hard time differentiating between "a" the a with the arrow-shaped accent on top, and the a with the accent like a smiley face. (sorry... I hope that makes sense). There are three different a's, but ... can you help?

  • i have recorded the final lesson. now i will spend 20 years figuring out lessons 1 o.O dang...

  • Wow, that helped me so much.. I wanted to say that if you did a cd/dvd course of Romanian, I would buy it, for sure. Also, I believe a lot of people would buy it, as well... Like a conversation and basic language, something that could help us more as these amazing vds helped =D For me to visit you country ^^

  • That's perfect, that helped me so much.. It's a pleasure to know such a beautiful language as romanian. Great!

  • Oh please please post some more videos! These have been so useful to me! Regards from Portugal.

  • emotie = emotion (english)

    bucurie = boldogsad (hungarian)

    dragoste = dashuri (albanian)

    Veselie = веселый (russian)

    tristete = tristezza (italian)

    Romanian is a cool mix of languages :D

  • @vidharr17 I know what you mean; but I just want to say, nicely, that Romanian is not a "mix" of languages, Romanian is a language. Just like English is a language. Not some "mix" of Angle/Briton/German/Latin/Greek/French/Norse/etc. But, yes, it is way cool to see the influences or cognates of/from other languages.

  • thank you

    Because of you Im starting loving Romania

  • You have the cutest accent on the planet. I love Romanians! You guys are the best. You have a beautiful country with a beautiful language. Greetings from the U.S.~!!!!

  • videos are perfect...!!

  • Thanks for the help, when the next one? :)

  • @Kiwidan82 Well, I don't really know, hopefully as soon as possible, but I don't promise anything :(

  • Thanks for the help, when the next one? :)
