  • Excellent , Thanks for sharing . Is this style Pukulan Cimande Pusaka .

  • @viking077 Thank you :-)

Nah, I've never done PCP. It's a blend of different Silat systems, mainly from West Java. We refer to the blend as Silat Banyak Akar. Seminars available if you're interested ;-)

Excuse the SHAMELESS self promotion! lol

  • @FractalFightingArts

Thanks for the reply . Interesting effective blend of silat systems. The crossing hand elbow strikes ,you demonstrate from 0:28 , can you please tell me which style it is taken from . And I like the way the same moves are demonstrated with a weapon afterwards. Five stars

    Regards

  • @viking077 Yeah, I always liked that stuff. The principle is called different things in different systems. We refer to it as Perisai Setia (faithful shield), but I've also heard it referred to as Sikap Sembah (welcoming posture - for the fact that the hands can look like they're joined in prayer)

The systems that Banyak Akar draws on it from are Pamacan and Kari mainly - though Cikalong has something called "rapat sayap" which isn't completely dissimilar.

  • @FractalFightingArts

    Thanks for the details.

  • Really enjoyed it.

Great stick work, I should try some of that.

  • Great stuff!
