Forget the 6V6, 6L6 and KT88, the 807 (aka VT100A, QE06/50) is an outstanding audio beamtetrode too.
Even a bass boost when Vs (250V.) is stabilised by the tube stabilisers OD3 (150V.) and OC3 (105V.), and even a more flattering sound with a mercury vapor rectifier!
Is that the preamp visible and power amp inside the cabinet? Awesome custom work! It rocks! I have the same lab series A changer in my console, they are built like tanks. My console is solid state but I love the sound of my jukebox tube amp.
@748ducky Ah, got it. I had it backwards then... well the effect is really great, I love seeing the tubes, there's nothing like the warm glow of vacuum tubes, makes it a whole new experience
Very nice example of an original idea with a stock console. Is there no problem having the amp so close to the Garrard? What type of cart and speakers? Green with envy...
There is no problem at all with the amp near the turntable. The cartridge is a MM Grado 'Red' and the speakers are a pair of 15" Jensen drivers and a pair of DeForest 3" tweeters.
Great!

No, that's the power amp and the line stage preamp you see there. The power supply and the phono stage-preamp are inside.
