@IpsumWrectum1 - I don't recall Beavis and Butt-head watching Mtv's reality tv back in the day. They watched MUSIC VIDEOS, something Mtv doesn't have anymore. I stand by my critique. The actual bits in between which focused on the characters were ok. Brought back some memories in fact. However I cannot sit through the 16 and Pregnant or other lame clips eMpTV airs on B&BH. So, I stand by my original statement.

I watched MTV last night just to see what it was like after not seeing it in ages......when our kids are being raised up on this garbage, it's no wonder our society is being destroyed. Instead of passing my comment off as preaching, just think about it for a couple of minutes.

It's really amazing how these things have been imprinted on my cranium... haven't thought about 'em in years, but I recognized every last one... all of us who grew up back then are really lucky... MTV was really cutting edge back then, if you can believe that...

Much as we all hate what MTV is nowadays, there's 2 big reasons as to why they don't play videos anymore: Youtube, mainly, as well as iTunes. I'm sad to say we can't go back to the '80s when it was great. But hey, at least we have stuff like this on Youtube so we can look back fondly.

The first MTV ID on this reel was done at Broadcast Arts in Washington DC, as well as "MTV Sandwich", "MTV Clock", "MTV Elephant", and "MTV Hairy M"...just for the record. Thanks for posting these!
