  • could have done a better job of Cobains voice

  • 2:20 hahahahahaha, genius

  • Oh my god this is brilliant

  • Am I the only one who loved the cartoonish Cobain?

  • The impression is so bad it cracks me up.

  • Good, very very good. But "Kurt Cobain" here is not like Kurt Cobain.

    Watch my videos.

  • hah that kurt cobain is so cartoonish :O

  • 2:57 I think that's supposed to be Jarvis! look at the hand movement stuff when he's done!

  • That's Steve Mackey (bass) impersonating Jarvis isn't it? With Jarvis's vocals, obviously!

Brilliant song - one of (if not) their best. It has such a personal meaning for me.

  • are you sure it isn't supposed to be Elvis Costello? :)

  • doesn't elvis appear somewhere else in the video?

  • A real jewel:the video,music and lyrics,PULP at their best.

And I can't remember a better song dedicated to an ex,hahahaha

  • when i lose my girlfriend on 2001, i really scream this song...only wind could heard me ...

    she did not come back....

  • Great video, but where were Keren, Sara and Siobhan? Oh yeah, they were probably still in a nearby pub.

  • This is one of the best videos ever.

  • They are all just celebrity lookalikes!!! Watchout Wikipedia for complete List!

  • Since everyone on the planet today is becoming CHEMTRAIL AWARE, the question now is, what are we all going

    to do about it?

  • excuse me while I don my tinfoil hat

  • Tjena ludde

  • Oh my god, that is a terrible Bowie.

    But what a hilarious song!

  • I don't know why this video makes me cry so much everytime I see it.

  • Because now there's only shit on TV, maybe.

  • This has got to be one of the most amazing music videos ever made.

  • wtf the guitar dude is noel gallagher how can ya not recognise him but can recognise michael keating!?

  • the guitar dude is brian may!

  • 1) ? 2) Elton 3) Robbie 4) Liam gallagher 5) Drummer is Phil Collins?

    6) Kylie or ginger spice. 7) looks like the actor Tim Robins 8) Noel Gallagher

Looks like actor Michael Keating 14) McCartney 15) ?two girls 16) Craig David ? 17) Tom Jones with bjork and some dude 18) ? guitar dude 19) Kurt 20) Rod Stewart 21) Meat Loaf 22) Cher 23) Jamiroquai 24) Elvis Costello 25) Jagger 26) Newman 27) Guitar dude??

  • 15) Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Jennifer Lopez

  • Is that supposed to be Gary Newman @ 3:49 ?

  • lol the kylie impersonator sounds better than kylie!

  • Lol @ the Kurt Cobain impersonator.

  • Is that j.c as Brian May at the end?

  • yes

  • i seem to remember him doing a shoot with nme as brian may aswell

  • Excellent song, excellent video, how they found all of these impersonators is amazing.

  • Bee gees?

    i thought was george michael

  • Me too...

  • in wikipedia page about "Bad cover version" you can read that he's George Micheal's lookaliker, not bee gees!

  • LOVE it, never seen this before, now one deffo one of my all time faves!

  • i love Pulp and i really love this video.. it makes me happy every time.. it sounds like shit with all the impostors, but its brilliant none the less.

  • lol

  • cher vocoder...brilliant

  • wikipedia says that there's Brett Anderson in the video ... well ... where is he?

  • 2:59

  • No, that's Elvis Costello.

  • It's 2.19ish. After Bjork. "And ever time he kisses you.."

  • Oh yeah, thanks.

  • 1:14 - James Dean Bradfield from the Motorcycle Emptiness video!

  • Epic Imitators Combo! I Never seen anything like that before... Brilliant!

  • Yo is that James Hetfield at 3:59?

  • it's brian may from queen

  • Its actually Jarvis Cocker dressed as Brian May From Queen. :)

  • I think what claygrav meant was at exactly 3:59 at the back of the crowd There is a man with a leather jacket and sunglasses

  • Acually now that i think of it, it might be the Beegees

  • Guy with the beard and sunglasses may be James Hetfield of Metallica perhaps?

  • it's amazing!

  • it kept skipping for me

  • who is bjork? she is nice

    does anyone know her?

  • McCartney looks like Pippin from the Lord of the Rings movie!

  • haha, true!

  • Mick Jagger looks and sounds exactly like the real one, and Keith Richards!! I love Brian May btw...

  • fantastic video to an amazingly written song! Thanks for posting man!

  • Awesome. SO FUNNY! And I think the song is great, too. :)

  • they all look very similar!

mick jagger is like a clone! the one who acts like kurt cobain is a little bit fat...

the studio producer is supposed to be butch vig? I havent notice that before :D

  • very good video clip..funny but smart ideas from jarvis..

  • Yeah, it's definitly not real :P. Robbie Williams at 3:35 looks completely different. As someone said below me, Kurt Cobain died in 1994, which is complete proof if this was made in 2002.

Jarvis Cocker is the one in the yellow pullover, who is next to Jay Kay.

  • Are you kidding about Robbie Williams? He's a dead-ringer as far as appearance goes. Voice is a bit different.

  • Great! :D

Only the guy who suppose to be Jarvis doesn't look like him at all, though he sounds like him.

I can't believe I didn't notice that this wasn't real when I first watched it! But, now, it's obvious. The only thing I'm not sure - the one with guitar at the end - is it Jarvis?

  • Yep, Brian May is played by Jarvis

  • kurt cobain died in 1994 so obviously actors i would say

  • brian may is the best

  • is this real?

  • real as in music artist look-a-likes gathering for a song, yes it is real. :)

  • cool

  • MegaLol. Great video!

  • funny :D

  • Robbie Williams, Bjork, Paul McCartney (who looks really good btw), Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Brian May, Craig David, Ms Dynamite, oasis, meatloaf, missy eliot, george michael, jarvis, kurt cobain, jay kay, kylie, sophie ellis bextor, mick jagger, lou reed, madonna, gary numan, missing anyone?

  • elton john

  • Phil Collins on percussion

  • Bono

  • I don't think it was meant to be madonna, it was meant to be cher. Hence scary face and vocal distortions in solo.

  • The guys on the mixing desk aren't impersonating anyone. They are the other members of Pulp. But no-one seems to recognise them.

  • numan......

  • what do you mean?

  • yes, Numan was like the top

  • Brilliant vid, right in with Cocker's sense of humour. I recognised a lot of the "celebrities" too just from listening to the voices!

  • lolz. if you watch the end you'll see that the one whos playin jarvis takes the glasses off before there finished. lol. its just soo typeacle of im. lolz

  • He doesn't take off his glasses.

  • he does. if you watch closely u'll see when everyone starts clapping he takes the glasses off. its cuz theres so many people it's not very noticable. lol. not sayin anything personal agaist you. just in general

  • One of my favourite videos, never fail to make me laugh my gut out. lol

  • one of the best 1o videos ever!!

  • I've heard worse...

  • haha, that hurts!

  • haha, aces

  • so is one of the impersonators suppossed to be of jarvis cocker or rivers cuomo? I think its funny that Jarvis impersonates Brian May of Queen at the end

  • there is one thats doin jarvis. he was on stars intheir eyes as him aswell.

  • Brilliant, a surreal original video!!!

  • Esta increible, PULP MANDA!!

  • That was freaking awesome. Pulp - words cannot express!

  • this video is pure genius

  • could they not of got a decent Cobain? the man was genius

    but i like Cher's robot voice =P

  • i don't really care about nirvana's legacy, but yeah, the KC impersonator is the worst one in the video, even though it's still pretty funny.

  • "Björk" is worse I think, but they're all hilarious.

  • rod stewart...when this was released thom yorke's hair wasn't like that anymore

  • And is that Rod Stewart or Thom Yorke?

  • The first time I watched the video (I watched the last minute or so), I really thought it was the real singers. Those lookalike are so great (all but Cobain, of course).

    Excellent song, excellent band.

  • Paul McCartney looks sooooooo real! so does Cher! :O

  • guys i think these are impersonaters and not the real famose people.

  • hehehehehe kurt cobain is there cool............

  • Stevie Riks would have done an amazing job on this song too.

  • impersonating=selflessness=the main goal of art=enlightened bloody jarvis, God bless you

  • Brian May is Jarv?!?!!?!!!?!!?!?

    o.O

  • yes indeed, hilarious!!!

  • Love where "Shane McGowan" uncomfortably grabs "Kylie"'s hand... nice reference to the duet the real McGowan's duet with Nick Cave.

  • I'm pretty sure that's David Bowie. It sounds exactly like Bowie, at least.

  • sounds like him, but doesn't look like him AT ALL.

  • what?

they aren't themselves? i mean, are they impersonators or something?

  • I remembering seeing this before I even knew who Pulp were.

  • when i first saw this video back in 2002 or 3 i didn't realized they were impersonating stars but when i saw liam it didn't seem like him so i thought what the fuck? but now i know haha

  • Never, you're wrong impwah, Jarvis is a great singer, one of the best of britpop, he is unique.

  • I don't know what you're talking about. Of course he's a little out of tune sometimes in concert. He's not the greatest singer in the universe, but he is one of the greatest songwriters of the 90's. Other people could not have performed his lyrics with he same passion that he does.

I don't know why you chose to make this comment on this video, because the "celebs" are way out of tune all the time.

  • Is that Gary Numan on the tubular bells? that is nothing short of Genius :D

  • So hillarious, Incredible, Kurt Cobain Fat!!!

  • ¡Jarviiiiiiiiiis!

  • imo the liam gallagher lookalike sounds more like kurt cobain..?

  • haha funny as fuck, the bloke who plays bono in this video, is landlord of our local we give him sum right abuse about it

  • soo funny

  • now that's some terrible singing :)

  • The funniest thing I've ever seen! God! Tha Jammiroquai guy is so bloody hilarious!!!

  • The best part is cher and elto john , and brian may! Lol

  • Is not Kurt Cobain!! is the singer of Soul Asilum!

  • Ja Ja!!!! I thought the same!!! anyway Ithink is tha funniest video ever made by any group.

  • Kurt Cobain is the best Part :D

  • boy, its fukin perfect 'cept for the kurt cobain...

  • Hombre!!! este video es genial, definitivamente uno de los mejores que he visto. jajaja, uno no puede evitar reir cuando lo vé.

  • un video soberbio, sin lugar a dudas.estoy de acuerdo contigo

  • OK people, listen, some of the lookalikes are just lookalikes and lip sync to vocal impersonators whilst others (Bowie, Kylie, Paul McCartney, meatloaf and Rod Stewart are actually singing as well. I was the Gary Numan as per my message 3 months ago.

  • Jarvis' look alike makes me smile.

I wonder, did the real people actually do their voices or are these fakes just that damn good.

  • Also William Shatner and Joe Jackson have made a cover of 'Common people',this was a GREAT cover!

  • This is my new favorite thing ever.
