That would be disqualifications (like at Jacarepagua), team-orders (like at Suzuka), stupid mistakes (like Nigel's when he got blackflagged and still manage to crash Senna out of race). Add to this Prost, who wouldn't wanted to race at Adelaide '89, because there was aquaplanning (some racer, professor my ass), and that he always complains at everything, and you'll have who's the REAL driver.

@wcub4 americans should stop commenting on things they don't know anything about. While you do catch a major facet of Ferraris 99-07 success that's not all of it. Schumacher was involved alot more than your average driver in the development decision processes. From an organisational viewpoint Michael was a hub. If you had the amount of magazines and interest about F1 as we had in Europe you might have known this. Realise your limitations: just a tip.

WTF Hill was Champion in 1994 ???? .... Schumacher won 9 races of 12 starts .... ( won in Spa, but was disqualified) .... Hill won 6 races, .... one race, than schumacher lost his gears,.. and 4 race , then Michael was't even started.... So Hill won only one race VS Michael... He beat him in Suzuka,... and thats all,... If there were'n any Disq. for Michale , he probolally had season like 2002, or 2004 ... With 11, 12 or even more wins

@andriusssska Just to remind you, Michael was disqualified from a couple of races in 1994 for using active suspension which was illegal during that season, and which gave a lot of advantage.

Also, don't forget Schumacher rammed Hill in the final, deciding GP at Adelaide taking away Hill's chances for a title.

Prost made the 2nd position of the grid, alongside Senna. The brazilian requested to start from the external side, but Balestre denied it. So Senna took revenge from the 89 Japanese GP colision and disqualification, crashing Prost at the 1st corner of this 90 Japanese GP.

Berger finished the 89 championship behind Mansell driving the same car, but when the austrian moved to Mclaren (in 90) finished the championship ahead the englishman. The MP4/5B was better than the F641.

I think they were pretty evenly matched actually. Prost was champion in 90 and Senna knew it as Schumi knows Hill won it in '94.

Furthermore - even regardless of the invalid comparison, you have forgotten that in 1989 - Berger was almost killed in his Tamburello crash and took many months to recover - his 89 season was a write off.

@JMRRF The MP4/5b was more reliable than the Ferrari 641 but the ferrari was better all round racing car it wasn't directly a qualifying car like senna like to have his Mclaren but a faster car on a race w less tyre wear a jack of all trades
