So your comment is based entirely upon assumption? No-one knows how things would've panned out, considering the Williams car was difficult through the first races of the season, and Michael had a car using illegal systems. You're nothing but a common troll.
@fredboomboomlowes I'm laughing my ass off. The classic F1 racing mag is british you fucktard and is imported here: just like many other good mags written by experts and analysts.
@fredboomboomlowes when those magazines are headed by people that have intimate access to drivers, team leaders and more, when those magazines are headed by some people that have worked for F1 teams: I don't know about you but I think they have the ability and knowledge to write extremely in-depth articles. I never said they are a bible I was just giving *one* example of how much more interested we are and how much closer we are to F1. Just like you probably are with... nascar
there is a reason why they call him the great him vs senna in the same car , 88,89 prost outscored senna both years 88 senna 94 points . prost had 105 89 senna 60. prost 81 add them together and you get the better average driver . senna 154 , prost 186 fast ass qualifying laps are good to watch but as far as keeping sponsors and team standings . prost has him beat i like both but . most of the time people confuse driving style with skill. senna had more flash but prost had go..
@mushrume just stop that pathetic shit, prost fanboy, geeez. In 88 prost outscored senna, wow... that means senna should've given his title to prost instead of keeping it to himself. get your statistic/averages and shove it up your ass, cause as far as I'm concerned, that's the place where you would want to kiss Alain :)
@thylegion the only thing that is pathetic is your brain. stats do mean something and so do averages.
you telling me that you as a team owner would not take the person witha higher win percentage ? or a higher finishing place average ??? you make yourself sound like a fool. and no iam not a big fan of prost . a little boring for my taste . i like nigel mansell to be honest but figures dont lie. in his case car failure prevented him from being champ more times
@mushrume oh yeah? so tell me, smart boy, how many races Senna lost not because of his own fault? That would be disqualifications (like at Jacarepagua), team-orders (like at Suzuka), stupid mistakes (like Nigel's when he got blackflagged and still manage to crash Senna out of race). Add to this Prost, who wouldn't wanted to race at Adelaide '89, because there was aquaplanning (some racer, professor my ass), and that he always complains at everything, and you'll have who's the REAL driver.
@mushrume oh yeah, Monaco 88 would be good to mention too, when Senna had +55 sec advantage, and crashed. Also Donington '93. You should be familiar with all this stuff. However, if you would be - you wouldn't look at statistics and averages, geeez... how old are you, 12? Ronnie didn't win ANY world title, Gilles also - so what? Those were great drivers. Both better and more real drivers than scary-ass Prost. Shove your statistics up your lame ass.
@thylegion iam not a fanboy of any one person ....... to be honest i like mansell. but if i was the owner of a team . looking on paper . it would have been drawn out in black and white. senna was amazing in the rain , and we know this. i like both of them.
One thing is for sure , that his 6 wins in monaco will not be beaten for a long , long time .
Mclaren had a good thing when they signed prost and senna ....
Senna car broke down all the time in 1989, that's how Prost won. Senna destroyed Prost if his car didn't break. Heck, Senna even beat Prost while driving a Lotus in 1987?
unfortunately for prost this car wasnt as fast as the mclaren honda mp4/5b or as reliable otherwise he would of been 1990 champion.best looking f1 car ever
@wcub4 americans should stop commenting on things they don't know anything about. While you do catch a major facet of Ferraris 99-07 success that's not all of it. Schumacher was involved alot more than your average driver in the development decision processes. From an organisational viewpoint Michael was a hub. If you had the amount of magazines and interest about F1 as we had in Europe you might have known this. Realise your limitations: just a tip.
WTF Hill was Champion in 1994 ???? .... Schumacher won 9 races of 12 starts .... ( won in Spa, but was disqualified) .... Hill won 6 races, .... one race, than schumacher lost his gears,.. and 4 race , then Michael was't even started.... So Hill won only one race VS Michael... He beat him in Suzuka,... and thats all,... If there were'n any Disq. for Michale , he probolally had season like 2002, or 2004 ... With 11, 12 or even more wins
@andriusssska Just to remind you, Michael was disqualified from a couple of races in 1994 for using active suspension which was illegal during that season, and which gave a lot of advantage.
Also, don't forget Schumacher rammed Hill in the final, deciding GP at Adelaide taking away Hill's chances for a title.
Prost made the 2nd position of the grid, alongside Senna. The brazilian requested to start from the external side, but Balestre denied it. So Senna took revenge from the 89 Japanese GP colision and disqualification, crashing Prost at the 1st corner of this 90 Japanese GP.
Berger finished the 89 championship behind Mansell driving the same car, but when the austrian moved to Mclaren (in 90) finished the championship ahead the englishman. The MP4/5B was better than the F641.
@JMRRF@JMRRF Oh dear - you havent done much mathematics have you? You are comparing apples and oranges - you cant compare Berger and Mansell in 1990 as Mansell has a superior team-mate (Prost) in 1990 which detracted from his results..
Furthermore - even regardless of the invalid comparison, you have forgotten that in 1989 - Berger was almost killed in his Tamburello crash and took many months to recover - his 89 season was a write off.
Senna's move was just a revenge for 1989 ..he would have done it even if he was 100 points ahead in the championship and after all i am pretty confident that every fan would have enjoyed watching Hill kicking out Schumacher in Adelaide 1995 and winning the championship.Revenge is the way humans deal with justice!!!
@xpandia EXACTLY PROST SHOULD HAVE JUST LET HIM PASS HIM IN SUZUKA THE YEAR BEFORE. NOT WRECKED HIM GRACEFULLY ON PURPOSE. BALESTRE STOPPED AYRTON FROM GOING TO THE PODIUM AS WELL I WONDER IF HE HAS HIS OWN REVENGE AGANIST SENNA. THAT DOES NOT TAKE AWAY THTA SENNA IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST EVER FORMULA ONE DRIVER
@JMRRF The MP4/5b was more reliable than the Ferrari 641 but the ferrari was better all round racing car it wasn't directly a qualifying car like senna like to have his Mclaren but a faster car on a race w less tyre wear a jack of all trades
beautiful V12 sound...!!!

@hottotrot75 Schumachers greatest feat as a champion was to change Ferrari into a championship winning team.

@Foxx1981 Schumacher doesn't make cars. Todt basically brought the Benetton team to Ferrari ( Ross Brawn and Rory Byrne )

I think they were pretty evenly matched actually. Prost was champion in 90 and Senna knew it as Schumi knows Hill won it in '94.
