u people who think this kid is a bad singer then yall need to shut up because i lost some i realy lover and the played at her furnerl i miss my grandma
i sang this song in church when i was 5 and my grandpa stood me up on the alter so folks could see me.....lol.......but i didnt need a mic......lol.........still dont........38 years later........lol...........thanks for a great memory
What a Blessing it must be to you to have such a memory. I realize our voices don't sound to us as it does to others, your voice sounded like an 8 yr old doing a superb job on a wonderful song. I am not envious but I do wish i had something like that or a video to share with my children when I was young. Thanks for sharing it with us!
BRAVO..my friend!!There are not many 8 year olds that can carry a tune..much less sing right on pitch!..without an "off" note at all!
I remember when that song was at the top of the charts myself..If I'm not mistaken Dottie Rambo wrote it..so many songs she blessed us with!..Thanx for sending to me!..You truely have a God given talent..use it for HIS glory
I can recall back when I was that age and I think I was more probably a lot more squeaky in my tone than you were here! :-) Unfortunately all of the songs I sang back then are gone. I think your voice has matured nicely so I think you sound great.
Thanks for sending this to me. I loved it. It reminds me of when my girls were about that age and sang this very same song. I have sang it a lot of times myself. It sounds like U. I give U 5 *****. A very cute kid. May God Bless U. If U get any more please send them my way, always enjoy them.
Thanks! I THINK it was in the key of A flat. I recorded it off a 12in record. Man I feel OLD! The FUNNY thing is I sing it in G now only a half step lower...hahaha! I never got the pleasure of my voice dropping octaves when I hit puberty! only a couple steps. hahaha!
Robert, I have a lot more miles on me than you do, so I remember when this song was HOT and at the top of the Southern Gospel charts. I was playing for a local/yocal quartet at the time, and we sang this song also; and guess what, we all had that same leisure suit and shirt with the big, dog-earred collar that you have on in the pic. So not only could you sing back then, you were at the height of fashion as well! You had perfect pitch back then as you do now! It's in your DNA! Blessings, Mike
