    Vegeta: ITS OVER NINE THOUSAND!!

    Nappa: WHAT? 9,000

  • FUCK FUCK FUCK¡¡

    I LOVE THIS SONG

    I LOVE U ROCK DUDE¡¡¡¡

    U DA RULE MAN¡¡¡¡

    AMAZING¡¡

  • Hey man. Love your drumming. I'm curious, when you're playing along with some of these more mellowed out tracks, is there a click going on that you're playing off of? or is your time just THAT solid all the time. Just wondering cause I'm getting into studio playing myself a little bit and trying to figure out how people handle it

  • holy shit dude, you're almost as good as sean reinert

  • can you please tell me how u fade in the eq setting from the beggining into the natural sound of the drums PLEASE!!!! =))

  • i double DJIZZED at 4:39

  • I am surprised I havn't come across you before after years of watching far too many of the numerous inspiring drummers who are kind enough to post their videos for everyone to enjoy.

I absolutely love your style, you pick off horribly tricky playing with such ease and fluidity. All of your pieces sound fantastic, I am so impressed by the whole lot. Diverse, technically stunning, just fantastic! Keep it up

  • ive only recently heard of periphery and about an hour ago i found out who you where since then you have become my biggest influance!!

  • I've always thought it was so crazy how hi your fulcrum is on your stick sometimes man. My comfort point tends to be towards the end of the stick, simply because I feel like I get more power that way. I have tried using longer and heavier sticks (currently implementing 16 3/4" oak 5b sticks) but still can't break that habit; assuming it is a bad one. I'm not sure, I guess I need more work on my technique, hehe.

  • dude are you using two bass drums or a double kick pedal?

  • Do you have a music transcription? (sheet list) wiht musical notes? because i just had seen numbres.. sorry for my english...

  • This is the type of song that you put on right before you go to bed. Have some awesome dreams.

  • notice :D 1:16 to 1:17 the symbal (ride? i'm no drummer so yeah...) shifts place >:) spooky !

  • this video has gotten 7000 views, and 100 likes without a single dislike. thats impressive.

  • What's the snare head? theres a lot of diffierent black remo heads :C wich one?

  • @morbida That head would be the Remo Black X, I have the same one on my snare.

  • What are the drum sizes in this video?

  • First of all this is absolutely amazing. Second of all in the pause at the end is that a quote from the end of the human centipede before the japanese guy kills himself?

  • The end of the song is epic with all the screaming and whatnot... LOL DEG style...

  • edit at 1:16?

  • Sounds awesome!

  • Dear shaftninja,

Amazing playing, as always! I've watched a lot of your videos, but this one made me laugh a little bit.... Your china has a living spirit in it! He moves left and right several times! ;)

Regardless of how many takes you had, the final product here is simply amazing. Keep playing so others, including me, having something to aspire towards!

  • @Wast3dsacrafice One take, three or four punches. Thank you kindly, sir/madame.

  • 0:47 how do you play it man? I've been at it for ages :)

  • hate to sound like an idiot. but do you have an album that i can purchase?

  • you should do Prelude For The Implication by Circle of Contempt, it has a slightly similar dark and mysterious, yet very interesting sound. anyway, im likin your stuff, keep it up:)

  • Now... if you don't mind me asking, what heads do you have on your toms and Bass drum?

  • I've been playing music for more than 20 years and I'm always amazed when I watch you play.Every music you play is pure art and ear candy but above all you've redefined the word "Finesse".

    Thank you :-)

  • Hello!

I looked almost quite are you videos and I am a fan of that you made and the sound that have you drums makes with microphones. A slaughter!

Otherwise your drums and indeed Tama Superstar?

And if you could say to me the music group that you jous his shall be really nice.

( To sadden for my English i am French and I have a hard time one can )

    Bye !

  • @crack38 The kit in the video is actually Pearl Masters mahogany, I believe.

  • One word SICK!

  • wow. this made my jaw drop

  • Nice teleporting at 4:40. I wish I was that good.

  • which cyclamen album is this on i want to get it!

  • Be carefull, that you don't hurt your back when doing fills like 4:39 ;).

Such fast movement! That's Dangerous! hehe :P

But srsly I allways wonder how you do your fills over those desperately far seperated toms, with such speed and cleanliness (wow what bad grammar ^^)

    Greetz & best wishes!

    Travis, you are just awesome!

  • sound so spooky.

    kickass song

  • You certainly have something every other drummer has, I can't put it into words - but watching you is much more enlightening than watching any other drummer play. You are truly special and inspiring. Thanks for uploading all the videos. :)

  • May I ask how you are EQ'ing that snare to make it so fat sounding? Are you putting a bump somewhere around 1k? Parallel compression?

  • Love it man, (:

  • travis you are the best drummer in my opinion ! its so technical and clean :)

  • This is pure dynamic meditation !

  • Thats so cool how the china moves closer to you at 4:37 ....

  • @Giovanni666777 probably 2 runs put together and he moved the china a bit

  • @Giovanni666777

    lol

well, its hard to do a song perfectly in one go

  • Travis, I've been drumming for 12yrs and I wanted to quit at times for not being able to deliver the beats I imagine with my head. Seeing the joy you display endures my pain and gives me strength to be better every day. Thanks for inspiring us!

    -Rick

  • whoa that ending blew me away

  • full trippin at work listening to this mmm so gud

  • YES! Full version at last!

  • What a neat song

  • dude you gotta tell me how you get your snare to sound like that. What kind is it and what heads and tuning do you use for it?

  • incredible, you really are one of the most impressive 'new' guys around. Is your incredible independence and the way of your kit is mounted a Mike Mangini influence? I mean, how much is he a influence on your techniques and style of play?

  • This song is amazing, and the drums are absolutely perfect for the mood of the song. Kudos, Travis.

  • your snare sounds AMAZING!!!! how do u make it like tht?

  • i want someone to run a DNA test on him cause i know the result is hes not human xD

  • i wear those same shorts when i drum! so comfortable!

  • Cyclamen is full of so many "moments of perfect music"...

Please, please, please... a record... just one little record... with you playing the drums I mean...

  • person in the window 4:48

  • I noticed you read tabs, is it easier than sheet music?

  • @Massy012 He uses sheet music, and he has a link to the transcription of the song in the description.

  • @W11BO1 Yeah I looked at it, but I've never seen that style of written music before which is why I assumed it tabs.

  • ey travis!

what kind of drumkit do you have?

  • that snare sound gives me a chubby lol How'd you get it ?

  • Solid playing as always Travis :D I started practising with a symmetrical setup today, thanks to you :P

  • I've seen the video explaining your setup, but I've always thought a splash or aux snare in the middle couldn't hurt :P

  • hey travis..

is that sm7 behind you acting as a room mic? does that technique work well in small rooms?

    drums sound beast

  • 1:17 . that was weird, from looking at your cymbels i can see you eddited that cuz they are moving , but it dosent look like you were mooved. a miracle? :D

  • @kshayk0

thats cause he did edit the video i think it says it in the description of the first cyclamen session video 1

  • I love the sound so much. Awesome thumbs up!

  • its wicked how if i played it on my set it would be a fairly "easy" song to play but played with your set upin the way you play it would be somewhat impossible for a guy like me to play. i mean with all the left footed bass patterns and such. wicked stuff my man. MOOOOOAR EGGS

  • Awesome but, why is there nothing in the middle of the kit. its like empty there :P. is it A. im blind and there is something there B. for Recording purpose C. you did not feel for it? :P

  • @Shuubbie

watch his kit explanation video its like 4 videos back

  • @howycwap Thx! ;D

  • Love this song, love the drumming! Travis rules!
