  • That is so adorable, port jackson sharks are so awesome

  • Don't those kind of sharks eat crabs?

I've heard that horse shoe crabs are really hard to keep alive in the long run. How long have you had yours? I didn't think much of them until I saw on at petco.

  • @AJY710

I have had it for 1,5 years, yes you need to do a lot to keep it alive. But if you frequently clean and feed everythings gonna be alright. And yes they can eat crabs, but he never attempted to eat my horseshoe crab :P Also because the horseshoe crab has a bigger panser than the usual crab ;)

  • Don't they grow up to 5ft!!!

What will you do when that happens?

    love th vid though

  • @Aaroncroy252016

    he's now swimming in a zoo ;)

  • that tank is way to small you will need to upgrade to aleast 500 when he gets bigger he will get 4.5 to 5 foot

read the description, it was the last day in that aquarium. he's now swimming in a zoo and has much more than 500 gallon. He's doing great as far as i know he's 3,5 feet atm.

  • Wonderful pets you got there. I would love to know if Port Jackson sharks can live successfully with other shark tankmates?

  • @mnxmnx07

i kept it together with a banded bamboo shark and worked fine, the only problem is that the bamboo shark sometimes steals the food of the port jackson. Also you need to have different kind of food on stock because the bamboo shark doesn't eat mollusc ;)

  • @maritlovesmark Wonderful and I appreciate your time for answering. Yes, I really would love to keep a salt water shark aquarium at home. What is the size of this tank?

  • just wondering what are you feeding the horseshoe? do you put the food directly underhim?

  • same as the shark, a mollusc en yea i put it directly under him because otherwise the shark steals it lol.

  • how big is the tank ? a 100 gallon?

  • he's not too big for this aquarium, yet.

he looks like he has plenty of room, and he sits on the bottom. i don't know his final size is.

if that shark is so tamed, why are you using a tool to feed him? why not hand feed him? does he have teeth to worry about?

  • a shark needs to have his space when it gets bigger, when i still had the shark it flapped once with his tail and he was on the other side of the aquarium..

and why i feed him with a tool is because he sometimes snatched on my finger which results was only a sctratch but still i use a tool it works better..
