I've seen this movie many times now. It's probably THE best Mel Brooks film ever made! Also, if I'm not mistaken, the "dinks" are supposed to be the equivalent to the "jawas" from Star Wars.

It was a popular theatre tune in Britain during WWII due to the bawdy lyrics.

You can find some copies here on youtube. Mel Brooks was famous for taking jabs at Hitler and this song was very popular back in the day. It of course is a song parody and the original version is the Colonel Bogey March. I can not find any original source for this but I am placing my money on the Hitler song.
