This isnt Star Trek I liked DS9 and Voyager, and Enterprise was ok but seriously Star Trek should have stopped with the Next Generation the longer it goes on the further from Genes vision it gets less and less continuity, no morality plays, no lessons in humanity or hope for the future, just T&A and space battles. The first time I saw this, I immediately thought it was awesome....I loved Star Trek, the original...but like the new Bat Man....Bond Films...and really starting with the Bourne films....the filming technology...and more realistic action showing people actually get hurt with signs of injuries is coming back in vogue...no longer is someone being shot at 5000 times at point blank range of being hit and showing no harm done....I think it is great...

Im too young to have seen the original series, but i loved all the other series and all the movies, as well as the parts of the original ive seen.

But with every single movie they did they got worse, and this seems to continue the streak.

The first 2-3 were pretty good, the TNG movies were already pretty bad and Nemesis was just the biggest piece of shit ever.

Hope this isnt as bad as i expect it to be.

I was so shocked when I saw the full trailer. I'm a huge ST fan, but this looks like shit. Violence, blatant sex, explosions? This isn't what star trek is about. Sure it has those things, but in moderation. I liked star trek because of it's exploration into our own conciousness, moral dilemas, etc.

Not this Michael Bay style bullshit that appeals to people who have a hard time figuring out how to work their oven.

The movie looks awful. Let's face it: Star Trek was made to be a TV series. I want them to stop rehashing the old stuff and come up with a new crew and make a new show.

Everyone loved the TOS and TNG, but Voyager and Deep Space Nine were fantastic shows as well. Enterprise only sucked because it was a prequel (much like this movie), and I heard it got really good towards the end (too little too late).

Voyager was the best. Janeway kicked ass. She had to deal with things no other Star Fleet captain even had to THINK of. And I like that they've changed it up a bit. I only have one friend who's a trekkie (and I like the word trekkie better than trecker, so bite me), but all of my other friends want to see this now - having never watched any other star treks - because, as Cenk said, this just looks so "Bad Ass"! Sorry it's not playing at Christmas as it originally was supposed to.
